Question Did I get scammed today?

A young girl no older then 15 maybe knocked on my door today and she handed me a note, I was like wtf at this point. Anyways the note said that she was in a car crash and she lost her voice and she needs donations for surgery to fix it, at this point I was like damn I feel really sorry for her. So I gived her 10 pound around 15 $s and she gived me a picture.

Then after I was thinking if I just got scammed because anyone could act speech less right?

But I wished to asked for her Mob number she was really cute.

Lost her voice in a car crash? How does that happen?

It was only 10 pounds so it doesn't matter that much.

Yes, but that £10 could have gone towards a game purchase!

Generally genuine victims of accidents don't go around door-to-door asking for money, especially a little girl like that. Also struck me as odd that she was alone, but didn't mention any sign of homelessness or anything like that.

Hang on, I assumed this had been done in the US, being more plausible, what with their healthcare system. We've got the NHS here and thus, that sort of surgery would probably be done on it.

You got jacked, my good man. The worst thing is, it wasn't even a very well executed one!

Trauma to the laryngeal nerve may cause loss of the ability to speak. it can happen in a car accident.
