The PS3Trophies Awards 2008 04-01-2009 Yet another year has passed by, games have come and gone, and boy has it been an exciting year for the PS3. After its rather worrying launch a couple of years ago, last year has been extremely kind to the PS3 and its fans, and things only stand to get better. One of the main improvements last year for Sony’s black box was, as you all know, trophies. Shiny, shiny trophies. When it was announced, it had been something fans had been waiting for for a long time. You could see there would be a need for a place to go for all the info, all the tips and all the news. Happy New Year! 01-01-2009 We are pleased to say that alot of good things have happened on the site while you have all been busy unwrapping presents, eating turkeys and partying like it's 2009! Oh... It is. Anyway... Onto the news: Firstly, we have recruited some new staff. In the form of 3 new forum moderators. These are: steedster (Everything Else Forum) theturtleking (Report Cheaters Forum) liambonner (Submit News Tips, Report Cheaters Forums) Congratualtions to them all! Also, we are going to recruit some more Forum Moderators over the next few days, however we have already decided on the names, so please dont ask, as we are not recruiting any more people afterwards. If you're interested in becoming a member of staff, then it's best not to ask, follow the forum rules, be helpful and be active. Secondly, we have now got the LBP MGS trophy images on the site. The reason for the delay is because only iEntry upload the images onto the site and they have been on holiday over Xmas and New Year. So we apoligise for any annoyance this caused you. Thirdly, some new trophy guides are currently being converted. One being for PJE and the other for LBP, by Freddy and Oyarsa respectively. We are sure this will be a welcome relief to people stuck on garden 10 or anyone struggling to find that last prize bubble. Trophy Syncing Problems? 28-12-2008 Having any problems syncing your trophies? It seems that there's 2 new errors that PS3 owners are experiencing when trying to sync their trophies. Not everyone is experiencing these, mind, so you might not have noticed anything yet. We figured it'd be best to make everyone aware of these problems though. Firstly, CVG has reported of an error that has occurred to a few users after changing their PSN password or ID. Taken from CVG "Their Trophy data becomes corrupt and running a select number of games brings up an error that notifies the user of a failure to sync Trophy data. In the worst of cases, the game forces the player to quit and "try again", only to repeat the same message." It's apparently been happening for a little while, with no noticeable action from Sony underway to fix said issue. Savage Moon Trophy List 19-12-2008 Yep, 'Savage Moon', a futuristic tower defence game with full 3d graphics and a tonne of space creatures to kill should hopefully be arriving on the PSN sometime this month. And seeings as there's only 1 Thursday left in December, we should hopefully be blasting up some moon critters in less than a week. Everybody's Putter Golf Released 19-12-2008 Remember that golf game I mentioned a little while ago that was a sort-of sequel to the Hot Shots Golf series, and was to feature Toro, one of Sony's japanese mascots? Here it is. Well, we knew it was coming soon, and with trophies too, but they were all in japanese so there were obviously some difficulties. Thankfully, with the game's release today on the Japanese PSN store, we now have an English translation! And that also means that you can earn these trophies on your American and EU accounts. Be advised, if you're going to try and get these trophies on those accounts, do it quick - we don't want it going all Mainichi Isshio on your ass For those of you that have already earned some of these, the trophies are now on the site ready for you to add to your profiles - the images for them are on their way.
