Platinum DJ Hero
Collect all other Trophies.
This one is your grand achievement for scoring all the trophies in the game. Congratulations if you get it!

Keep Rising
Reach online grade 10.
For this one, you'll need to work your way up to Level 10 in online play. As you do battle with other DJ's, you'll earn DJP (or DJ Points) to get your rank up. For more information, see Upgraded.

The Quickathlon
Set up and play a 10 mix setlist in Quickplay, earning at least 4 stars for each mix.
This trophy requires that you set up 10 mixes in a row, and play them all earning at least 4 stars. That means getting 40 stars out of your setlist. If you're not too confident in your abilities, remember that this trophy can be attained on any difficulty and if you're still having trouble, drop down to Easy or Beginner to easily get it..

You Want Some?
Complete 30 Online Battles (in any Online Battle mode).
All you need to do here is jump online and play other DJ's. Select your difficulty based on how good you think you are at the game, and get scratching! Simply completely finish 30 battles (without quitting!) to earn this one.

Battle Star Spectacular
Win 50 Online Battles (in any Online Battle mode).
This one is a little tougher, as it requires you to play 50 battles at the least and win 50 of the battles you've played. If you're a newbie, I suggest playing on Medium as the game currently seems unforgiving towards highly skilled players (there is no difficulty filter, so Medium players can full combo songs while Expert players struggle). That said, you might find that Expert players don't want to play Medium players because of the discrepancy in chart difficulty...

Scratching the Itch
Successfully perform 25,000 scratches (in any mode except Party Play).
This one will come much faster to players on a higher difficulty. It's cumulative across all mixes you play (save for Party Play mixes). Scratching is fairly easy, and if you're not an Expert player you'll have no trouble scratching to the very forgiving scratch sections. 25,000 is quite a lot, but you can check your progress under "Rep" > "Trophies".

Fades of Fury
Successfully perform 20,000 crossfades (in any mode except Party Play).
This one will come much faster to players on a higher difficulty (take note that there is NO CROSSFADING on Beginner or Easy). It's cumulative across all mixes you play (save for Party Play mixes). To crossfade, just move the crossfade slider onto a different track when the game tells you. 20,000 is also quite a lot, but you can check your progress under "Rep" > "Trophies".

Battle Ready
Play all of the DJ Battle mixes (online or offline).
There are 17 battle-exclusive mixes in DJ Hero 2 that can only be selected if two players enter a DJ Battle. There are two ways to play every mix:

1. If you have a second turntable, you can play these mixes locally with a friend (or just choose every mix consecutively and let the turntables go).
2. Play online and search only for a DJ Battle, constantly selecting the mixes you haven't played yet (you won't always get them though).

You also might play some of these mixes during the Empire mode if you choose to battle against the star DJ's. However, you won't play them all, so make sure you follow one of those two steps.

1 Up
Beat a friend's score on any of the leaderboards.
For this, you'll obviously need a friend who owns DJ Hero 2 as well. If not, search for someone you've played online, add them, and target their leaderboard score (during the mix, the star tower will tell you whereabouts their score lies). If you can score higher than them, the trophy is yours.

The Emperor
Win all the DJ Battle setlists in Empire mode.
For this one, you'll need to play and win all 6 DJ Battles in the Empire mode. That involves winning against:

1. DJ Qbert
2. David Guetta
3. RZA
4. deadmau5
5. Tiësto
6. DJ Qbert II

These can all be very challenging on harder difficulties, so if you're having trouble, simply lower the difficulty.

Freestyle Superstar
Get an A for Freestyling in any mix (in any mode except Party Play).
For this one, your freestyle score at the end of a mix needs to be an A grade (you'll need to perform really well in the freestyle areas of the song: sample dropping, crossfading and scratching. Here are a few tips for each kind of freestyle that will help you achieve an A:

Freestyle Crossfading

To get the most points out of this, vary the crossfader's positions frequently (left, right, middle). Use all 3 positions often to get the most points. Remember to add spikes (rapid movements back and forth from the center toward either direction) as they are also worth more. Try and also follow the beat during the section (indicated by lined portions) if you can.

Freestyle Sampling

These come in the form of red extended areas. There really is no trick to this one - just drop the beat to make it sound at least a little bit awesome and you should be okay.

Freestyle Scratching

To squeeze points out of freestyle scratches, vary your scratches into 3 different speeds: slow (back and forth slowly), medium (fairly normal speed scratching) and fast (go nuts!). Try and get all of these into one freestyle scratch for the most points. If a scratch section is long enough, try spinning the entire turntable 360 degrees for some interesting sound pops.

You'll know how well you do in each section based on how many sparks fly off your performance at the end. If there's a whole bunch of sparks, you're doing great! If barely anything comes out...it wasn't worth listening to.

Opening Act
Play your opening night in Empire mode.
This one is easy. Select your difficulty and play the first megamix in Empire mode completely (I think it's 3 songs in a row). It shouldn't take more than 5 minutes, and regardless of your score, you'll get the trophy.

Upgraded
Reach online grade 50.
As you do battle with other DJ's, you'll earn DJP (or DJ Points) to get your rank up. This is where most of your efforts to earn the Platinum Trophy will go; Level 50 is the highest online level you can reach, and it requires approximately 12,500 DJP...which is quite a lot. Simply put, this will take a fair bit of time to reach, and your selected difficulty will reflect the speed at which you level up. Playing (and winning) on Medium will yield less DJP than playing on Expert, but Expert players may become frustrated because of the lack of a difficulty filter. That said, if you can play Expert, do so (only playing Accumulator and Streak is good for crushing any Medium players who just want to beat you on Expert and abuse the filter).

Here is a breakdown of all bonuses that you can achieve whilst playing online (I can verify most of these, but some, such as the lower difficulty ones, may be inaccurate).

- Mix Win: 2 DJP
- 100% Mix (Beginner): 10 DJP
- 100% Mix (Easy): 20 DJP
- 100% Mix (Medium): 30 DJP
- 100% Mix (Hard): 40 DJP
- 100% Mix (Expert): 50 DJP
- Battles Played: 2 DJP x # of battles played
- Battles Won: 10 DJP x # of battles played
- 10 Battles In A Row: 100 DJP (you will only get this bonus once every time you turn on DJ Hero 2.)

Ultimately you'll just need to play a lot online. As I said, this is where a lot of your time will go and as you play more, you'll get better and better and earn DJP a lot faster. Reaching Level 50 will take time, but the most committed of players will reach such a coveted grade. Remember: local matches yield no DJP, so there's no point playing a lot with your friends (unless you find them online and figure out how to boost...).

En Sink?
Calibrate your system for DJ Hero 2.
Real easy. Just go to the Options menu, select Calibration and follow the steps to set up the audio and video lag. Should take no longer than a few minutes.

The Magic Number
Play a mix in Quickplay with another DJ and a Vocalist (in local play only).
Ah, good old gimmicky equipment trophies that require you to spend more on / borrow another controller. Okay, so this trophy isn't hard at all - if you've got the equipment. To get it, you'll need 2 DJ Hero Turntables and any sort of microphone (Guitar Hero, Rock Band, even the one that comes with the Party Bundle). If you've got all of that junk, connect the gear to your PS3 and choose your favourite mix - when it's over, you'll get the trophy, even if neither of the DJ's (or the vocalist) hit any notes.

Perfect Pitch
Hit 100% of the vocal notes in a mix (in any mode except Party Play).
This can be a MAJOR pain in the rear, as it doesn't actually require any sort of DJ skills whatsoever, and if you're tone deaf...it's much more difficult. Luckily, there are a lot of songs in this game that are mostly rapping, and rather than registering your pitch (as most songs do), the rapping comes up as little circles which basically detect whether you made a noise or not. There are three songs that I can recommend you practice on to try and get the beat down (even if you are the worst singer in the world, it's possible):

- Pump Up the Volume Vs. Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See
- Pump Up the Volume vs. Jump Around
- Galvanize vs. Leave Home

It may take a few tries, but once you learn the general rhythm of the song, you'll be able to get the bits that throw you off. Before you know it, you'll have hit all the notes in the song and earned 100% to get the trophy. Sadly, there is no difficulty when selecting vocals, so this trophy comes down to luck (and the quality of your microphone).

One more tip, and a very crucial one: get someone to play on Beginner as a DJ, and have them full combo the song if possible. If, for some reason you miss a note, the DJ will be able to rewind back to before you missed it so you can have another crack at it (if at any time you hit the note, even during a rewind, it contributes to the 100%). Remember, though, that the DJ isn't full of rewinds - only every now and then can they help you out.

Mixtape Creation
Set up and save 3 setlists in Quickplay.
Another easy trophy. For this one, push in the Quickplay menu to add a mix to your list, and once you have a certain number of songs you like, press to bring up the Options. Select "Save Setlist" and name it whatever you like. Repeat 3 times; make 3 setlists, and you have the trophy.

Got ID?
Set your own online Tag and Medal.
Yet again, another simple one. Go into the Online Play option in the menu and you'll be presented with your online profile. You'll see two options: Medals and Tags. If you've just started, you'll be a Level 1 player and you'll only really have access to one medal and tag; set these to your profile to get the trophy.

Master of the Empire
Earn 12 stars in DJ Shadow's setlist in Empire mode on Medium difficulty or above.
To get this one, you need to earn a minimum of 12 stars on DJ Shadow's setlist (the final standard setlist in the Empire mode) on Medium difficulty or higher. On Medium difficulty this really shouldn't be too much of a problem, but Firestarter is still quite hard on the lower difficulties, so watch out for that one. Don't forget about your Power Decks; the Multiplier deck is helpful as it can increase your max multiplier to 10x, as is the Rewind deck. Both of these require you to combo consistently however, so if you can't, use the Scratch Master or Tap Master deck.

Grand Master of the Empire
Earn 12 stars in DJ Shadow's setlist in Empire mode on Hard difficulty or above.
To get this one, you need to earn a minimum of 12 stars on DJ Shadow's setlist (the final standard setlist in the Empire mode) on Hard difficulty or higher. On Hard difficulty things start to heat up, as you'll begin to see all manner of complex patterns, but practice the mixes and remember that you can always restart a mix if you don't think you have enough stars. Firestarter is still the one to watch out for here; don't forget about your Power Decks; the Multiplier deck is helpful as it can increase your max multiplier to 10x, as is the Rewind deck. Both of these require you to combo consistently however, so if you can't, use the Scratch Master or Tap Master deck.

Supreme Master of the Empire
Earn 12 stars in DJ Shadow's setlist in Empire mode on Expert difficulty.
To get this one, you need to earn a minimum of 12 stars on DJ Shadow's setlist (the final standard setlist in the Empire mode) on the hardest difficulty. On Expert, you'll see the most complex crossfading, scratch and tap sections the game has to offer, and directional scratches become increasingly hard to perform in these mixes (Love Lockdown vs. The Day That Never Comes has some REALLY fast scratching, be careful!), so practicing these mixes is key. Be wary of Firestarter, as it is the hardest song in this list to score well on. Remember that you can always restart a mix if you don't think you have enough stars. Don't forget about your Power Decks; the Multiplier deck is helpful as it can increase your max multiplier to 10x, as is the Rewind deck. Both of these require you to combo consistently however, so if you can't, use the Scratch Master or Tap Master deck.

Rewind 4 The Win
Perform 4 720° rewinds in a single mix, on any difficulty level without dropping your multiplier (in any mode except Party Play).
This one's not too difficult; you'll need to perform a 720° rewind (that's spinning the turntable around completely twice) four times in any mix, on any difficulty. Not only that, you'll need to hit every note up until the point where you used the rewind (without dropping your multiplier, which means no mistaps either). If you're struggling with this, try it on a lower difficulty and you should be okay.

Go Crazy Broadway Style!
Perform Vocals in every mix that supports them (in any mode except Party Play).
This is a very annoying trophy; it requires that you perform vocals in every mix that has them in DJ Hero 2. All of these mixes will not be available to you right away; you'll need to play through all of the Empire to unlock them all. There are a total of 58 Vocal Mixes in DJ Hero 2 and you'll need to play them all. If you're lazy, hook up the microphone and set up a setlist with mixes that you haven't played with vocals yet (I think the max is 20). Let the game run (you don't need to hit any notes) and then when it's over, just choose the next 20 songs and let the microphone run for those as well. It shouldn't take too long, but it's a right pain to get all of them done quickly. If you aren't sure which mixes you've performed vocals in, check the "Rep" > "Trophies" menus (although this only tells you one of those mixes). I recommend you hook up a microphone to let it run for each mix you play in Empire (or Quickplay) to get this done faster.

Professional Face Removal
Win 5 Star Battles online.
A Star Battle is, in essence, a battle in which players compete for the most stars; whichever player has the most stars at the end of the mix wins, and if both players have the same stars, the winner is judged based on the scores. You need to win 5 of these battles for this trophy. If you want to speed this up, limit your online search options to Star Battle only.

Mama Said...
Win a Checkpoint Battle by knocking out the other player (online only).
In these battles, both players play a standard mix which is divided into a certain number of checkpoints. The player who hits the most notes (or the most notes perfectly) before a checkpoint will win a point. At the end, the player with the most checkpoints won will win the mix. If a player wins a certain number of checkpoints, up to the point where it is impossible for the other player to win, that player will win by knockout. You need to win an online Checkpoint Battle this way. If you want to speed this up, limit your online search options to Checkpoint only.

The Bigger They Are...
Win 10 Online Battles against players of a higher grade (in any Online Battle mode).
To get this one, you need to claim victory 10 times against players online who are at a higher level than yours. This can be difficult, as most players online who are at higher levels may be better at the game, but keep at it and occasionally you'll win against a higher level player. If you're struggling, choose Medium and go for the full combo on songs.

IMPORTANT NOTE! This trophy can be missed; a player can reach Level 50 and not have this trophy; thereby rendering it impossible for them to win against players of a higher grade (as there is no higher grade than 50) and not be able to achieve the Platinum Trophy unless they delete your Game Data / Save Data and start from Level 1 again.

Accumulate!
Play Accumulator and win 10 mixes (or single mix battles) with a streak of over 50 (online only).
Accumulator is a mode where you can bank your accumulated streak of notes and aim for a higher total than your opponent. A player gets 3 banks per song (more can be earned by playing Euphoria sections perfectly) and they must use these to store their streak. For example, a player with a 62 streak can bank it once to get a score of 62, and then bank another streak of 100 to get a score of 162. At the end of the song, any remaining streak is autobanked. To earn this trophy, you need to win 10 games of Accumulator whilst having an accumulated total of over 50 notes. So, that means winning with any streak below that won't count - if you plan to win, try banking your streak as you play a Euphoria section to constantly have 3 banks in your favour. If you want to speed this up, limit your online search options to Accumulator only.

Like Bacon?
Play Streak and win 6 mixes (or single mix battles) by 20 streak margin (online only).
Streak is a mode similar to Accumulator, except that only the highest streak by either player is stored as the top score. Players once again get 3 banks to aim for the highest streak possible in the song. Notes are not cumulative in this mode, so the only way to beat a streak of 100 is to build up a bigger streak and then bank that streak. At the end, the player with the higher streak wins (any remaining streak is once again autobanked). For this trophy, you need to win 6 games of Streak with a streak 20 notes higher than your opponent (e.g. 120 vs. 99). If you want to speed this up, limit your online search options to Streak only.

Chiggedy Check It Out
Win 10 Checkpoint mixes (or single mix Battles) by a margin of 3 checkpoints or more (online only).
In these battles, both players play a standard mix which is divided into a certain number of checkpoints. The player who hits the most notes (or the most notes perfectly) before a checkpoint will win a point. At the end, the player with the most checkpoints won will win the mix. You need to win 10 games of Checkpoint with 3 or more checkpoints won over your opponent (e.g. 6 to 2 checkpoints). If you want to speed this up, limit your online search options to Checkpoint only.

Big Bad Boss
Beat all the employee DJs in Checkpoint Battles in Empire mode.
In Empire, you'll occasionally come across a Checkpoint Battle with a non-famous DJ character. To get this trophy, you must beat every single one of these employee DJ's in their respective mixes. Here's a breakdown of how many there are in each location:

Ibiza: 0
London: 2
Berlin: 1
Shanghai: 2
Las Vegas: 2
Ibiza Encore: 1

That makes up a total of 8 employee battles. You can complete these on any difficulty, but you'll need to do them all for the trophy.

Hero Feed Heroism
Play 5 mixes directly from Hero Feed Challenges.
You'll likely need a friend for this one. You need to go to "Rep" > "Hero Feed" and look for challenges that other DJ's have issued to you. If you have a friend, you can ask them to play 5 mixes and issue you 5 challenges for the trophy (provided you do the same for him / her). You don't have to beat the challenges that they issued to you; simply play the 5 mixes that they challenged you to completely for the trophy.

Bonus
Unlock all the Empire bonus mixes.
There are a total of 6 Bonus Mixes in Empire, all unlocked after achieving a certain number of stars during your progression of the mode. In order to unlock every mix (including the final one, Daft Punk's "Human After All") you need a total of 225 stars from the Empire mode. Just choose your difficulty and play the mode; before you know it, the trophy will be yours.

Higher Education
Complete 6 of the 'New To DJ Hero 2' Tutorial lessons.
Another simple trophy; select Tutorials from the menu and choose any tutorial under "New To DJ Hero 2". Once you complete that tutorial, play 5 more of the newer ones and you've got another trophy in the bag.

Me Like You Long Time
Apply 'Like' tags to 10 mixes and play these mixes (in any game mode except Party Play).
In Quickplay, hit the Euphoria button to apply a "Like" tag to a mix that you enjoy and then play it. If you do this 10 times, to 10 mixes, you'll get this trophy.

Rise to the Challenge
In Empire mode complete 3 Setlist Challenges.
Not too hard a trophy either. A setlist challenge requires that you get a certain number of stars to unlock a new item (e.g. headphones). Simply select your difficulty, and play any three setlists in the Empire, making sure you beat the total (it's commonly 8 stars out of 15). Once you complete 3 challenges, the trophy is yours.

Tappity Tap Tap Tappy
Successfully perform 50,000 taps (in any mode except Party Play).
This one will come much faster to players on a higher difficulty. It's cumulative across all mixes you play (save for Party Play mixes). Tapping notes is simple; all you need to do is just hit a tap note of any colour when it lines up with the stream at the bottom of the screen. 50,000 is quite the figure, but you can check your progress under "Rep" > "Trophies".

To The Left
Only crossfade to the left in all Freestyle sections in any mix (in any mode except Party Play).
Painfully easy, just decide when you want this trophy and it's essentially yours. In any mix, when you're presented with a freestyle crossfade section, simply refrain from moving the crossfade slider to the right at all. In fact, you can just move it left and leave it there. If there are any other freestyle crossfade sections in the mix, just do the same thing during them as well. Easy trophy.

Six Spins To Win
Activate 6 rewinds in Show Me Love (Stonebridge Radio Edit) / I'm Not Alone mix (in any mode except Party Play).
This trophy is fairly easy, as you can choose this mix on any difficulty. All you need to do is combo enough notes so that you acquire a rewind a total of 6 times during the song. Remember that rewinds don't stack, so given the chance, use your rewind immediately. It's quite a lengthy song, so you should really have no trouble hitting the required number of notes for 6 rewinds.

Super Streak
Get a 400 streak in I Will Be Here / Speed Rail on Expert (in any mode except Party Play).
This song is relatively hard to get a combo on, especially if you're not excellent at Expert difficulty. It's difficult to provide tips for non-Expert players, as it still remains a confronting chart. Your best bet is to practice the song over and over (once you begin to play Expert); the simplest way is to combo the song from the very beginning. Here's a few tips to get you started.

- Try and get used to the extended arrows that turn up on your blue stream often. Remember that if you hit the start of the note, and drop the rest of it, it won't wreck your combo, so don't be discouraged if you drop a hold or the long part of an extended arrow.

- Save Euphoria for sections that you really struggle with. Let it do your crossfading for you; try and practice hitting all 3 stream buttons with both hands. I tend to do this a lot and so long as you can get back to the crossfader in time, it really helps out in complicated tap sections. Just remember to return one hand to that crossfader when your Euphoria runs dry.

- Don't feel discouraged if you miss out early on - it takes a few tries to build up a decent combo, and 400 is a lot. But, it's easiest from the very beginning, so if you learn the song a bit, you might improve every time you play it.

With practice, you might get close to the combo, so good luck!

Microphonal Magic
Get a 200 vocal streak in any vocal mix (in any mode except Party Play).
For more tips, see Perfect Pitch.

It's not too difficult to get 200 vocal notes in a row as it's mostly rapping.

World Number One
Earn at least 3 stars in each of the mixes in the Tiësto Megamix (in Quickplay, Megamixes, Empire or Star Battle).
You simply need to get at least 3 stars in every Tiësto song in his megamix. Once again, not too hard, you can select any difficulty if you're having trouble in order to earn at least 3 stars on each mix.

The Grandmixer
In Empire Mode beat DJ Qbert in each of his Battle Mixes.
You need to battle DJ Qbert twice over the Empire, once in Ibiza and once again in Ibiza Encore. It doesn't specify a difficulty, as usual, so if you're having trouble with it, just turn down the difficulty. Try beating him on Expert in Super Battle Breaks!

I Have The Power Decks!
Unlock all the Power Decks.
You'll unlock a Power Deck when you beat a star DJ in a DJ Battle. There are 6 Power Decks to obtain; the last Power Deck will be obtained when you defeat your last star DJ. Not too hard a trophy..

Credit Is Due
View the game credits.
Once you've beaten DJ Shadow's setlist in Empire, you'll be presented with the game credits. Simply watch them right to the end for the trophy.
