Cloud Saves coming Tomorrow!

Yip it's here. The ability to save your game saves externally to a SONY server is coming to PS+ owners tomorrow.

I brought this to your attention (http://www.ps3trophies.co.uk/threads/29948-Cloud-Based-Saves-coming-but-only-for-PS-users.) back in January and it got a decent responce. But now the waiting is over.

As off update 3.60 tomorrow, PS+ owners will be able to choose up to 1000 game saves to transfer on to a safe server, and it's as simple as highlighting the game save and pressing :triangle:, choose copy and then select online. Voila!

Plus, as an added bonus, copy protected games are transferable too. However there will be a slight timelock on them of 24 hours before redownload.

Personally I think this is a very big win for SONY. The XBOX is yet to implement this and SONY have really stepped up to the plate and delivered.

SO has this swayed any of your opinions on plus? Anyone getting it now, due to this feature. Or will Simmy_82 still be as stubborn over subscribing? :P

I don't think this is the type of thing that should be ps+ only personally, although i am tempted to grab a 90 day sub because of sonic being a free download but this will not be influencing my decision.

I've had PS+ for awhile now and have made my money back like 4x over. But this feature of getting a back up save for copy protected saves is great. This is coming from a guy who had SF4 save at 77% terminated due to YLOD! Recently i just got back to where my old save was from 2 yrs ago :)

I wouldn't pay for Plus just for this, but copying games over is definately an awesome feature!

Great feature, it should be for all though. I see the updates being ps+ only where the console as is should be getting more features too.

So no I won't be subscribing! I am in my 5th PS3. If you back up you saves regularly then you shouldn't need cloud saving! Yes it copies the protected ones. Whoopie! Only protected data I've lost is Dragon Age and Rainbow 6 Vegas 2. Obviously Vegas 2 didn't matter. Dragon Age didn't either really. Was near the end of my first playthrough so I didn't lose much.

Great idea. But it should be available to all. If it was for say 99p a month to non PS+ users I'd get it. PS+ isn't worth me getting just for this!
