Pure Bladestone

I just killed 40 Black Phantom Dual Wield Katana Skeletons and 40x the skeleton in the hidden passage

Just 9 Chunks of Bladestone and no pure bladestone ...

I got pure black world tendency, Talisman of the beast in right hand (to kill the skeleton with fireball) and Large Sword of Searching in left hand.

Anything else I can improve or just killing more of those damn skeletons

enjoy killing a lot more of them.....it took me like 10 hours of farming to get it....i had over 100 chunks by the time i got a pure one..

what is you level on luck? boost that like crazy, by farming and it should appear alot quicker :P

you think? my luck was 99 when i farmed for it.....and i had large sword of searching.....and it still took forever.....or does it take even longer with less luck? ^^

I had 10 when mine dropped, i guess its just chance after all!

Pure Bladestone has a dropping rate of 0.5 out of 10. So 1 chance in 200 tries.

It took me, with large sword of searching and maxed out luck, a marathon of 109 kills of the secret passageway dual katana skeleton to get the pure drop.

It is a matter of real luck (no game luck) but many people report better drop rates for this item with luck BELOW 20.

mh, so what's better, kill the passageway skeleton or the black phantom?

When I kill it and got the message which item I got I don't push any button but the playstation button and quit the game. When I reload the game I am in front of the skeleton and can kill it again. Guess that's faster than always running through the dungeon

so I killed the black phantom dual katana one 90 times, yet. Got 20 chunks, many splinters, soul remains and 12 Uchi***** katanas

besides, i got:
Pure Black World Tendency
Neutral Char Tendency
I quit and reload after each try
Left Hand: Large Sword of Searching
Right Hand: Talisman of Beasts (Fireball)

Perhaps I will get black char tendency, perhaps that helps?!?

I think the other skeleton is better because he dies easier, and I run back to the Nexus everytime... I wasn`t sure if the game would keep a record of what it had dropped. I also had a bunch of mojo bags in my right hand. lol

It`s random. It`s evil. It`s pointless, I hated this trophy. Average time seems to be 5 hours!

Character tendency will not affect the drops. Keep trying! If you cannot get it, you can try making a "pure bladestone trade" thread in gamefaqs and maybe some users will give it to you online.

Strange, if I get back to the Nexus the world tendency changes towards white, by killing the black phantom as well as by killing the skeleton in the hidden passage ... or should I GO back and not evacuate?

That`s weird... I did this one offline, so it might be the famous world tendency glitch afflicting you, but as long as you don`t kill any black phantoms or the Primeval Demon the world tendency should not change.
I used Evacuate every time btw... at the end of the marathon I had like 90 chunks 20.000 uchigatanas and soul remains and some 120 splinters....

I play offline now, world tendency doesn't change anymore by killing black phantom or the one in the hidden passage :) Strange, that killing the black phantom doesn't afflict my world tendency now.

I kill these two skeletons in turns and made a tally ... here are the statistics (for now):

I can`t help to read BullS when I see BS lol, especially with this trophy! It`s a really bad one...

It will appear, eventually, but if you get sick of it you might just want to trade it with another player.

I told u this was the hardest platinum ever! lol

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah still no pure bladestone, asked in gamefaqs for so. to trade with me, perhaps it works.

Guess he just have to touch my message so we can play together and then he drops the pure bladestone and I can take it? Is it important who's the blue phantom?

Hi there. It doesn`t matter who the Blue Phantom is, I have taken stuff from hosts and given stuff to hosts before. But you will be restricted to meeting players that are close to your level, so make sure to include your level on your thread.

I think you could potentially get the bladestone without the other player losing it. Like, he drops it and quits immediately (if he is the phantom) and you pick it up. Anyways I hope you get it soon... I hated this trophy.

mh still noone helped ... can't you lend me your +5 sharp weapon, it's said to work. I can get to your level immediately with my 2nd char.
