It Needs Our Help
Complete Chapter 1: "Worlds Apart"
Complete the first level of the game ("Worlds Apart") on any difficulty to get this trophy. This chapter is designed to familiarise you with the game's controls; overall it is much easier if you happen to own a PlayStation Move Controller.

That's Quite A Mouthful
Complete Chapter 2: "Another Day at the Office"
Complete the second level of the game ("Another Day at the Office") on any difficulty to get this trophy. This chapter is where the Necromorphs begin to emerge, and you'll learn to target their limbs for effective shooting.

Figments Of My Imagination
Complete Chapter 3: "Return to the Megavents"
Complete the third level of the game ("Return to the Megavents") on any difficulty to get this trophy. This chapter sees your crew go through the venting system underground, and you'll be shooting up some more Necromorphs in the process.

Quit Yacking And Start Shooting
Complete Chapter 4: "Rendezvous with Fate"
Complete the fourth level of the game ("Rendezvous with Fate") on any difficulty to get this trophy. This chapter will have you going through space and many other places, and you'll be seized by the Ishimura's crew.

Finally Grow A Pair
Complete Chapter 5: "Emergency Care"
Complete the fifth level of the game ("Emergency Care") on any difficulty to get this trophy. This chapter will take you through the rather spooky medical wing, where you'll also meet Nicole Brennan before other events transpire...

Suck In Your Guts Gentlemen
Complete Chapter 6: "Nowhere to Hide"
Complete the sixth level of the game ("Nowhere to Hide") on any difficulty to get this trophy. This chapter takes place in the sewer system and ends with a rather unpleasant boss that is difficult to kill even with a PS Move Controller; see Flushed for more information.

Ecologist
Complete Chapter 7: "Life and Death"
Complete the seventh level of the game ("Life and Death") on any difficulty to get this trophy. This chapter sees you taking control of a different character in the game's story and will introduce you to the Ripper weapon (and the Brute Boss; see Lexine, I Told You To Be Quiet! for more information.

Pull The Knife Out
Complete Chapter 8: "In the Hearts of Men"
Complete the eighth level of the game ("In the Hearts of Men") on any difficulty to get this trophy. This chapter sees your crew get closer to escaping the cursed ship - through more ugly Necromorphs.

Sacrifice And Survival
Complete Chapter 9: "Escaping the Ishimura"
Complete the ninth level of the game ("Escaping the Ishimura") on any difficulty to get this trophy. This chapter ends with a rather nasty boss fight (see Sack Blast for more information).

Sprawl Bound
Complete Chapter 10: "Secrets and Salvation"
Complete the tenth and final level of the game ("Secrets and Salvation") on any difficulty to get this trophy. This chapter is mainly a giant onslaught of enemies that does not end until MacNeill returns; once you complete this chapter, you'll get the game completion trophies as well.

Survivor
Complete the game on "Normal"
You will need to complete all 10 Chapters on Normal difficulty or higher to unlock this trophy. Normal is the easiest difficulty and if you struggle...well, maybe you should be playing a different game. It's not too difficult; just keep an eye out for ammo drops and health packs.

P-Sec Officer
Complete the game on "Hard"
You will need to complete all 10 Chapters on Hard difficulty or higher to unlock this trophy. Hard is the difficulty you are recommended to begin on for the best path to Platinum - it's not a lot harder than Normal, enemies deal a little more damage and are harder to kill.

Necro Slayer
Complete the game on "Expert"
You will need to complete all 10 Chapters on Expert difficulty or higher to unlock this trophy. Expert is only unlocked after beating the game once on Normal or Hard. For the fastest way to Platinum, skip over this difficulty and head straight for Impossible.

Isaac 2.0
Complete the game on "Impossible"
You will need to complete all 10 Chapters on Impossible difficulty to unlock this trophy. Impossible is the hardest difficulty in the game and is only unlocked after beating the game once on Normal or Hard. In this mode, Necromorphs do not deal any additional damage, but take about 3,000 bullets to take down (okay, maybe not that many, but they're pretty resilient). Look out for ammo and health all the time and always choose the weapons that you think you are most capable with.

Overtime Sheet
Beat the top score on the "Extraction Site" Challenge
You will unlock the Challenge Mode upon completion of certain Chapters in the game's story. In Challenge Mode, the idea is to score as many points as possible by chaining kills without taking damage. You will get 250 points for lopping a limb off, and 550 points for a kill (and an additional 50 points for every kill after that; i.e. 550, 600, 650 etc). If you take damage, the score for killing an enemy resets to 550. The aim of the mode is to string together as many kills as possible without getting hit, as you can earn up to 3000 points per kill. You also get 100 points for item pickups and 20 for every Perfect Reload you perform. The top score for this Challenge is 251,010. Some tips for these challenges:

- You'll need to maintain a combo where each kill gets you around 2800 points in order to get close to the top score.
- Plasma Cutter, Flamethrower, Ripper, Force Gun and Line Gun are all recommended loadouts.
- At Waves 3 and 7 you will get a new weapon, so be sure to use this if your ammo runs dry.
- If you have a good combo and get hit, don't panic; you can always build up another one and go for the score.
- You have 3 Stasis tanks, so remember to use these on pesky enemies like the Leapers or Lurkers.

This level as a first challenge is pretty easy. It's the first level in the game and you're probably familiar with it by playing it a few times. Remember to just go for the limbs and keep your distance to maintain the combo.

No Cop Duty
Beat the top score on the "Central Plaza" Challenge
You will unlock the Challenge Mode upon completion of certain Chapters in the game's story. The top score for this Challenge is 252,010.

This level introduces the flying enemy which can be a real nuisance if you cannot take it out. If you can Stasis the pest, it's a lot easier to target it and take it down. Other than that, it's the standard "targeting limbs and maintaining distance" procedure.

Engineer By Trade
Beat the top score on the "Maintenance Bay" Challenge
You will unlock the Challenge Mode upon completion of certain Chapters in the game's story. The top score for this Challenge is 253,010.

Lurkers make their first appearance in this Challenge. Target their tentacles and try to take them all out in one hit (the Line Gun is great for this). They should be your first priority as they can fire projectiles at you that will snap your combo in half.

Laugh It Up Partner
Beat the top score on the "Mess Hall" Challenge
You will unlock the Challenge Mode upon completion of certain Chapters in the game's story. The top score for this Challenge is 254,010.

In this Challenge, the Necromorphs will spit stuff at you (on the odd occasion). To prevent this from happening and destroying your combo, be efficient and take their legs out so that you can knock them down fast and then deal with them easily.

Colony Full Of Crazy People
Beat the top score on the "Medical Bay" Challenge
You will unlock the Challenge Mode upon completion of certain Chapters in the game's story. The top score for this Challenge is 255,010.

In this Challenge, there'll be some Pregnant Necromorphs that emerge and if you take a shot at their stomach, they will release little enemies that can swarm on you and be difficult to target and kill. However, it is recommended that if the enemy is a safe distance and you have a spraying weapon such as the Flamethrower or Arc Welder, you should get these small enemies out as each one is a kill, and if you're on a high combo you will get a LOT of points for each one.

Need A Towel
Beat the top score on the "Water Tunnels" Challenge
You will unlock the Challenge Mode upon completion of certain Chapters in the game's story. The top score for this Challenge is 256,010.

In this Challenge you'll face the Necromorphs that emerge from the water as tentacles with heads and try to latch on to you. Prevent this from happening by killing them quickly with the Plasma Cutter or Line Gun. They are fast and difficult to hit, so be wary of them as they often show up when you're targeting another enemy.

Herbal Remedies
Beat the top score on the "East Grow Chamber" Challenge
You will unlock the Challenge Mode upon completion of certain Chapters in the game's story. The top score for this Challenge is 257,010.

This is a very diverse Challenge; in that there are a lot of different enemies to tackle. Almost everything you've fought so far will show up once, and there's a lot of enemies in the stage. Don't be discouraged if you break the combo as there are more than enough Necromorphs to start up another.

Ready For Takeoff
Beat the top score on the "Shuttle Bay 47" Challenge
You will unlock the Challenge Mode upon completion of certain Chapters in the game's story. The top score for this Challenge is 258,010.

This is another varied Challenge in which a lot of different enemies will strike. Employ the same tactics that you've been using for the last rounds and you should be okay. It's not too difficult, but fast enemies like the Leapers are still first priority as they can swipe your combo before you know it.

Bridge Commander
Beat the top score on the "Atrium" Challenge
You will unlock the Challenge Mode upon completion of certain Chapters in the game's story. The top score for this Challenge is 259,010.

This is a massive challenge and has over 200 enemies so you should have no trouble finding Necromorphs to beef up your combo. Once again, you'll be attacked by all manner of nasties so use your Stasis and choose your guns accordingly.

Get A Medic
Beat the top score on the "Life Support Room" Challenge
You will unlock the Challenge Mode upon completion of certain Chapters in the game's story. The top score for this Challenge is 260,010.

This is likely the hardest challenge that you'll face as it takes place entirely in a Zero-G area that makes finding your orientation quite difficult. The only two types of enemies are unfortunately Leapers and Lurkers - the two fastest and biggest threats to your combo. Use the Line Gun to destroy the Lurkers and Stasis on the Leapers before they get too close for comfort. Remember that the Wave doesn't end until you Zero-G Jump, so look around for ammo crates and things that may help you in the next Wave.

You Need Glasses Partner?
Survive the shuttle flight with less than 10% shields intact
In Chapter 4 you'll attempt to dock with the Ishimura, only to have it fire upon you. Take out some of the asteroids that come toward you, but let some of them hit you so that you remain on about 30% of hull integrity. Once the ship begins firing its lasers at you, let them hit you until you suffer enough to be on less than 10%. From there, simply survive by targeting the bullets - they're hard to miss, seeing as they're in groups and glowing white.

Twice The Firepower
Play cooperatively with a second player
Simply connect another DualShock3 Controller or PlayStation Move Controller while you are playing Dead Space: Extraction to enlist the help of another player. The trophy will appear shortly after.

Sharpshooter
Shoot the box hanging from the crane on the surface of Aegis 7
Once you emerge from the pod in Chapter 1 after putting on your suit, you'll see a crane with a rope that connects to a box hanging above near some rocks. Take your Plasma Cutter and shoot it down for this trophy.

Too Much Firepower?
Open the secret weapons store in P-Sec
In Chapter 2, after going back down the elevator, you'll turn and briefly face a door with a pink fuse to the right of it. Shoot this fuse to open this door and reveal a cache of weapons and ammo. You'll get this trophy shortly afterward.

What Did You Find?
Take a minor detour in the megavents
In Chapter 3, when you are given the choice to go either down the ladder or across into the meaty vines, take the latter. Cut the vines and you'll come to a door which needs to be hacked to be opened. Inside is a lot of stuff you'll like and a trophy as well.

Taking Your Time, MacNeill?
Admire the view in the crashed shuttle
In Chapter 4, when your crew is putting on the space suits, Lexine will bend over as she gets ready. Use Kinesis on her when she does this to get this trophy. It's a mystery why no other games award the player trophies for performing strange perverted acts...

Flushed
Defeat the giant necromorph in the water tunnels
You'll find this boss at the conclusion of Chapter 6. This is likely one of the most annoying bosses you will ever face; only because it's seemingly unfair and you will take hits because the targeting has to be spot on.
Here are the steps you'll need to perform to kick the boss's behind:

Step 1: Shoot its giant yellow eye things or whatever they are. If you miss (and you will a few times), you'll get hit. I find the Contact Beam is okay for this part.
Step 2: With enough damage, you'll make a run for the side. Stasis the giant fan and get inside - the creature will receive a nasty surprise when the fan starts spinning again.
Step 3: Same as Step 2, except on the other walkway.
Step 4: The boss will try to grab you and drag you towards it. When this happens, try to shoot it as much as possible so it releases you.
Step 5: Kinesis the explosive barrels that surface and aim for the boss's tentacles yet again. A yellow weak spot will appear (and vigorously move); do your best to shoot it.
Step 6: If you deal enough damage to the boss in Step 5, it will bite the dust.

This might be where you'll use that Revival Pack you found in Chapter 2 due to how unfair the battle is. Try not to die as you'll restart the checkpoint significantly disadvantaged. Beating the boss gets you the trophy.

Lexine, I Told You To Be Quiet!
Defeat the Brute
This boss (from most other Dead Space games) enjoys relentlessly charging at its prey and knocking it down. It's a fairly easy boss fight; simply follow these steps:

Step 1: When the boss charges at you, use Stasis to automatically run around the boss and view the weak point.
Step 2: Unload on this weak point as much as possible before it turns around.
Step 3: ...actually, that's pretty much it. Repeat Steps 1 and 2 to defeat the boss - if it spits goo at you, catch it and throw it back at the boss.

Once you deal enough damage to knock the Brute out cold, you'll get the trophy.

Sack Blast
Defeat the giant necromorph on the hull of the Ishimura
This is a pretty annoying boss - you'll face it at the end of Chapter 9. Follow the below steps to claim victory over it (at least until it returns to disarm you, hee-hee...):

Step 1: Aim for the weak yellow points on its tentacles before it smacks you (sound familiar?).
Step 2: The creature will now swallow you and you'll see yellow blobs start to grow inside it - shoot these with any weapon.
Step 3: A whole bunch of glowing ball-shaped weak points will emerge - unload on these to damage the boss and reveal other enemies.
Step 4: As is with a lot of poorly designed bosses, repeat Steps 1 to 3 and you'll knock out the creature.

Once you kill the boss (well, "kill"), you'll get the trophy. Make sure to hammer the melee button in the sequence that follows.

Skill - Reload
Complete any level with at least 80% Perfect Reloads
You perform a Perfect Reload when you press the shoot/reload button when the reloading circle passes the lit-up section. If you fail or stuff up, the reload will jam and you have to wait for the circle to go all the way around to reload your weapon. Achieving 80% of these little mini-tasks in any given Chapter will award you this trophy.

Skill - Accuracy
Complete any level with at least 80% Weapon Accuracy
This one is a little bit tougher as it requires you to hit with at least 80% of your shots in any given Chapter. So long as you're accurate and don't shoot at nothing, you should achieve this in the first few Chapters.

Skill - Stasis
Complete any level with at least 80% Stasis Accuracy
You must hit with 80% of all your Stasis uses in any level. If you want to make this one a little easier, use Stasis once in the first Chapter or the second Chapter and make sure you hit with it to achieve 100% accuracy. Then, finish the level to get the trophy.

A Star Is Born
Complete any level with a 5 star rating
At the end of a Chapter, you'll be rated based on your performance in that Chapter. See Mega Star for more information. For this one, you'll need to get a perfect 5 / 5 rating in any level.

Rising Star
Earn 10 stars on one profile
At the end of a Chapter, you'll be rated based on your performance in that Chapter. See Mega Star for more information. Unless you're absolutely atrociously bad at video games, you'll have 10 stars by about the third or fourth Chapter (though if you complete 1 and 2 perfectly, you'll have this trophy then).

Super Star
Earn 30 stars on one profile
At the end of a Chapter, you'll be rated based on your performance in that Chapter. See Mega Star for more information. Out of a possible 50 stars, you'll need to earn 60% of them over all 10 Chapters that you play throughout the game. If you're having trouble, go back and try a level on an easier difficulty for a better chance at more stars.

Mega Star
Earn 50 stars on one profile
At the end of a Chapter, you'll be rated based on your performance in that Chapter and the following criteria:

- Accuracy with weapons, Stasis and Perfect Reloading
- Damage taken and total deaths / story event fails
- Efficiency at completing mini-games / puzzles
- The number of items picked up such as logs, health and ammo

50 stars over 10 Chapters with a maximum of 5 in each Chapter means that you need a perfect record of 5 / 5 on every stage. I recommend you attempt the Chapters on a lower difficulty (and replay them even if you're not getting the stars to learn where you're struggling). Chances are you might get a few 5-starred on your way to completing the game, but odds are you will need to go back and do a little bit better in some stages to get those last few stars.

Make Us Whole

Gun Dealer
Collect every weapon on one profile
You have to collect the 9 guns that appear in Dead Space: Extraction for this one. You'll usually find most of them as you play through the main game, and there's a low chance you'll miss any on your two playthroughs. Here's what you need to collect:

- Rivet Gun (default weapon)
- Plasma Cutter
- Line Gun
- Pulse Rifle
- P-Sec Pistol
- Flamethrower
- Arc Welding Gun
- Force Gun
- Contact Beam
- Ripper

Weapon Nut
Max out all upgrades for every weapon on one profile
This one requires you to find all 40 upgrades in Dead Space: Extraction (there are 4 for each gun). Some are hidden in very clever locations such as vents and off the beaten track.
