Anyone else find this game unplayable?

I admit that this is the biggest game I've played with so many places to go and so much to do, but most of the time it was a frustrating task just to sit there and play it. My game kept crashing and taking me back to the PS XMB and would freeze at all kinds of randomness. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had these issues?
Kind of frustrates me why the firmware didnt fix those bugs.

I've had it freeze after alot of hours of playing, but its only ever done it twice. But i get the same problem with my copy of farcry 2, but it never works. My PS3 obviously doesnt like farcry 2, lol

After they patched the game in with trophies the game just got more and more troubles. Before the game only froze for me if I had my notifications on. But when I played it for trophies, in about 35 hours I had 20 freezes. Just save ALOT :)

i think i have had it freeze on me twice, and im at 50+ hours so far. the main bug that i had, but has since been fixed was when friends logged on it used to freeze the game when it flashed up in the top corner. but their patch fixed it. other than that i enjoy the game

I've played the game a fair bit and its only fronze about twice (touch wood) and i only have about 6 quests to do before i get all the quest related trophies.

I have yet to play the game, I have started it and got lost most of the time, however, I believe all bugs should be fixed by now.

There's a few games which freeze after a long while of playing, but I think it may be the PS3.

I hope everything works out for everyone.

I got theese freezes occasionally, but only when my save files started getting larger than 8mb. The larger the the save file got and the more I progressed in the game the worse it got.

Yep I get the freezes.Ive also had it re-load a save only for the right stick to not respond so had to reload an earliar save...Ive had the NPC's fast forward their dialog...........even after those glitchs I still think its an awesome game though

am i the only one who thinks this game was a bit boring,
wel the story line was pretty sound it was just the walking and then running out of ammo persistantley.

the game froze a few times on me, but nothing ever that major, i always had a bunch of save files and saved often so it was no big deal

I thought it was too, and it was too easy most of the time. Oh no a raider. One kill headshot. That's all it was over and over. I think I only died 3 to 4 times the whole game.

The freezes ARE a shame as this is brilliant otherwise. Hopefully Bethesda will iron the teething issues out before TES:V

Its an awesome game despite the flaws......just keep a back up save and update it regularly...........also Fallout 3 in £20 in Asda atm

i bought fallout 3 in sainsbury for £20...only that my sister had a staff card so i ended up buying it for £17.52 :D

I bought it yesterday, started playing today and no complaints so far.
I´ve had the framerate drop a bit sometimes and it froze up on me once but since that happened with other games too I won´t be too harsh yet.

I think this game is great I have 17% of the trophies. But I think the platinum will have to wait because on Friday... RESIDENT EVIL 5!!! (sorry for the caps)

The main freeze i had in the game was when there was large explosions....... the sound began to crackerling and cause a speach glich that stopped NPC from conversing with me, that really sucked, had to got back to a previous save and play again from there.
