gunslinger glitch?

i shot amsel's car with a sniper rifle, enought to blow it up. just before (or during i don't know) his car blew up i switched to my pistol. I got the trophy without shooting the pistol once in the whole missioin. i don't know if this has to do with pulling the pistol out, or if I just got lucky. anyhow it may be an easier way to get this trophy. see if it works for you ;)

My scenario was almost the same as yours. I fired a few sniper rounds into Amsel's car, and when he got out and started to run I switched to the pistol. I couldn't get a bead on him though and I was ready to give up when I heard an explosion and then the trophy sound stating I got it. I'm still not sure how I got it, considering he was quite a ways away from the car when it blew up, but either way I'll take it.

I might have to try this. Fill the car with sniper shots. Then blat pistol shots at it
