My friend Stu, competes in a Speed Hill Climb Race at Loton Park in Shrewsbury.
He runs a MK2 Escort RS2000 which has been tweaked a little to produce 194bhp. My first 4 cars were Mk2 escorts, any other fans out there?
I help him out by taking photos and putting a camera in-car to help him see how he is doing in the corners etc to hopefully improve his time, I also do a bit of spannering and preparation where I can.

Loton Park charges £7 for spectators, the racing runs from 8.30am til dusk, there's burger vans, regalia shop, a bar and if you visit on a National Championship day you will see the National single seaters (look like F1 cars with almost the same power) they also have visiting clubs like the Ferrari club and the TVR club.
http://www.hdlcc.com/ This is the car club that runs the events - with dates of racing etc, you can also enter a car (road or race prepared) by entering the club (to get the rule book) and making a few mods to your road car.
Anyone else compete or in any clubs?
