I haven't played the game but judging from IGN, no. Their reviews are usually pretty spot on.
8.5 Presentation
Just about everything feels like it's ripped straight out of the films. Hugo Weaving's dialogue could be stronger, as could the mid-action voice work.
6.0 Graphics
Crappy textures, character models and some framerate problems are partially saved by the great environmental designs of the movies.
8.0 Sound
Voice work ranges from good to very bad while Howard Shore's pieces push the action along wonderfully.
6.0 Gameplay
Redundant gameplay isn't helped by fairly unimaginative design. This game could have been much more had it expanded on the established formula to push the franchise in fun, new directions.
7.0 Lasting Appeal
It's fun for awhile, but after you hit the same button sequences for the thousandth time, things get more than a little stale. Any number of additions would have expanded this game's life.

I've got the game and it's not very good honestly, but it's not total crap either, if you enjoy LOTR it can be an enjoyable purchase although the solo is quite short and the online is just ok. The trophies are pretty easy too.

Its pretty decent, I paid £39 on an impulse buy, I saw it, I bought it and sorta wish I didn't, not for £39 at least. Singleplayer is quite fun although it's short and easy for the most part, even on harder difficulty settings. Online is fun for a few hours, oh, that's if there's anyone online in the first place, there tends to be only 2 full servers for each online mode. Graphics aren't anything to shout about but the voice acting is LMAO in my opinion. If your a LOTR fan you will probably like it. If your on a budget get it for £30 or less, there are better buys out there.

Defo a game for LOTR fans and Battlefront fans. In my opinion this is an amazing game allthough the story is short the new DLC coming out will be amazing!
i would say rent unless your going to be playing online for hours its too short to actually pay £30 for.

yes because the single player mode is great but a bit short and the online is great too because of all the maps you can play on
