'Strictly Business' Help

I need some help with the Strictly Business side-quest/trophy.

How exactly do I enslave someone?

I went to Rivet City in an attempt to enslave Flak. After meeting him, I shot him with the Mesmetron, ran up to him and tried to equip the Slave Collar, but the Pip-Boy wouldn't let me. I assumed I was doing this incorrectly, so I used all the Mesmetron ammunition on Flak and then he fell to the floor and died.

So how exactly do I enslave someone? Am I doing it correctly, and my attempt was merely a glitch? If so, I'll enslave someone else.

I havent done this mission yet as I killed everyone in paradise falls without knowing the mission was there.... but I think after you use the Mesmatron , you may have to put the coller on by picking there pocket???? like when you plant a grenade on someone.... if that dosnt work then I dont know, again I have to do this mission on my second run through. shot him with the thing then talk u will see options go to paradise falls then get more slave collars

dv i would recommed doing this quest on a seperate one to your real file. as you enslave some people that you need for other side quests.

I just flicked through a guide (http://www.wikicheats.com/index.php/Fallout_3_-_PC_PS3_XB360/Sidequests) and none of the people I need to enslave give me side-quests.

actually no. i mean its obvious that you find red and take her back to big town before you enslave her.

you should only be stealthy so that no one sees you while doing your business. else the whole city might turn hostile towards you and all quest including this city are lost.

There's also Susan in Tenpenny Tower that you need to do that quest the 'good' way.

This is the only one I have to go back and do on another play through because I walked just a little too far and pissed the guys off. I didn't even keep the save because I assumed they would calm down after a few days like every other place. I hope it isn't to difficult to do for a low-level character...

well the guide is wrong. you can get a quest from the woman in the jail sell.
then you need flack to do the big town quest

Actually it's impossible to enslave Red unless you do the Big Trouble In Big Town quest.

Flak doesn't give any quests, either. You get Big Trouble In Big Town from the Big Town residents.

is it? cant you just go straight to her prison and like "congrats, you are finally FREE ...for 5 seconds" BAM! ^^

Well, I'm not sure, but I'm talking about the Platinum-in-one-playthrough thing. :P

However, on my game, Red is still free and I've completed the quest. How? Well in my first attempt of Big Trouble In Big Town, she died when returning to Big Town, and it said 'Strictly Business: Completed' and I had the trophy. Then we resumed from outside the police station and walked back again!

I killed the guy ur supposed to enslave when i visited minefield. Does this mean I won't be able to get this trophy?

stuck BIG TIME on this, i think ive killed the other 3 , and the only one i have left alive is susan, iv enslaved her at both paradise falls and tenpenny tower, neither worked (and iv tried telling her to go to paradise falls, which she does but still nothing happens)
Iv tried killing her and it said "quest failed"

Anyone got any suggestions?
