Could someone be kind enough to tell me how to get the Platinum trophy in one playthrough?

I've heard it's possible to do, I just don't know how.

save the game just before your level 8 14 and 20. then reload the game and change your karma before leveling up to good bad nutrall ect. then just continue on the file of your chosen karma

im saying just before 8 14 and 20. so its the same think.
jour karma level is located on the stats in the 5th secton thing

Current karma level is on your pip-boy, go to stats or something and it'll tell you.

You earn the karma trophies at levels 8, 14 and 20. So save on 7, 13 and 19 in order to change your karma level before leveling up. Hope this helped;).

No idea if you've already got the hang of hacking yet but ;;
(Obviously) you're supposed to guess the right word.
The easiest way to hack it successfully is to pick a word ending in something common such as "Sleeping" or "Catching" ('ing' being common 'thing').
If it says something such as 1/8 correct, you know that it doesn't end in "Ing" since only 1 letter is in the correct place. (Following?)
Then you just find which letter it is that is in the right place by compare with other words then work on from there.

Liam that is true, I believe the quest is called 'Trouble on the Homefront'.
You activate it by picking up the distress signal from Amata while wandering close to Vault 101 (I think it reaches as far as Megaton.)

When I first entered Megaton, I killed Mister Burke.

I'm pretty sure that I now have to miss a main quest.

But what I'm wondering, is if it affects whether I can complete the game or not.

If I can still complete the game, I'll carry on as normal.

If not, could I start a new game and do his quest straight away?

You can still complete the quest dv, but i think you might miss a sidequest later in the game.. I think it might be the one where you need to retrieve 5 keys for a ghoul.. I might be wrong though?

Burke is only valuable if your going to blow up Megaton. Other then that he's not important at all.

A friend of mine has said that I can start again, agree to blow up Megaton and then report it to Simms, then get the trophy.

If that's true, it'd be fantastic, as I've still got my save after leaving the Vault.

i hate hacking i have 100% lockp. 100% speech and the trophys 4 them both ( 50 lockp.and 50 speech chall)

is theere a quest finder? need to find qoests not the main qoests just the side quests

i did this as well, however you can still get the trophy if you go to paradise falls and rescue the kids there.....after you have reached little lamplight, go to paradise falls even if you have done the speech challenge and talk to eulogy about getting the kids.....if you get the kids out you will get the mission trophy still


Burke is only valuable if your going to blow up Megaton. Other then that he's not important at all.

Getting Platinum in one playthrough is going to be a lot harder than I thought, because of trophies such as...

I assume there's a total of 50 Speech challenges in the game? Winning every one would require you to constantly whore your Speech skill from the beginning.

There are 50 terminals in the game, and some are unlocked once you receive the password, which as far as I am aware, doesn't count as a hack?

So yes, it's going to be a struggle for most people, including myself, to get Platinum in one playthrough.

really! if you could get the location of that then that would be a great help :D and is deathvein right in saying there are only 50 computer terminals in the game and the passwords dont count??

as far as i'm aware there is way over 50, maybe 100 computers to hack, just remember to boost up your science/computer skills and only guess 3 times then log out and try again...unlimited guesses without locking the terminal!

I have just discovered another misable bobblehead. its in rhe place ware you meat the presedent and if you blow the place up you cant get the bobblehead. good job i had a save from before then.
also does antone know if there are any other misable bobbleheads (apart from the vault 101 one) or if there are any witch you need a sertain lockpick or scienice level or any other skills that need a sertain level.

can you not just use any termanials for the trophie

there are like 100 speech challenges. probably more.

and if you go for platinum on one playthrough you'll encounter about 60 terminals. without even searching for them.

the only thing that is out of the way is "kill 300 people". i had all the trophies in the end except for this one with 100 kills missing.

It's fairly easy to get all the trophies in one playthrough using multiple saves at the key levels for the different karma trophies. You just need to be careful not to miss quests or bobbleheads, but really you only need to do a quest once on one save to get the trophy.

There are a lot more than 50 terminals, i hacked 70+ and i left some cause my science skill wasn't high enough at the time, some i didn't bother hacking after i got to 50, and there is still a lot of places i haven't explored yet.

Also I found an infinite lockpick exploit (Requires 50 lockpick and Science)
In the museum of history, go through some double doors on the left of where you enter. Go up the stairs and on your right should be a terminal. Hack it.
Deactivate the Turret and Click Secure Exhibit.
Come out of the computer and pick the door.
Go into the terminal, Secure the exhibit and then pick the door again.
Rinse and repeat ;)

i let rip on burke just before the shotgun came out, the sheriff thanked me and said he must be getting old lol,

i got platinum last sunday and was really happy when i finnally found all those bobbleheads

none of them are really that hard, even the deathclaw one, which i thought was going to be the toughest of all, was probably the easiest

got my plat yesterday after 4-5 days of excessive playing. thanks to this thread i got it in one playthrough even though i think i'm gonna play it over again some other way. ;) it's really easy to get when you know the few things you have to watch out for.

only had 2 probs near the end. the guys in the 'head of state' quest wouldn't spawn at the station until i waited 24h inside the subway. and even though i hacked every computer on my way i was missing some for the trophy but i used the fallout-wiki list to get the last ones.
