It seems that technology is really on the go . I had seen some innovative features which the car is to offer its clients and that is to dive in the water and also used in the land. What can you say about this great car feature?
Founder and CEO of Rinspeed Inc. Frank M. Rinderknecht, who said: “For three decades I have tried to imagine how it might be possible to build a car that can fly under water. Now we have made this dream come true.”

Its indeed a Lotus but what I like about this car is that it can work in the water as well as in the land. Too bad its not for mass production.

'Fly under water' what a load of bullshit it is just a glorified submarine type things since when do you hear of submarines 'Flying under water' :P

Yeah, it was on Top Gear or The Gadget Show - I was really disappointed, you have to wear scuba gear to use it - hardly James Bond stuff!!
If I remember right as well - it all electric, so when you get it out of water its top speed is 35mph??? Who wants a Lotus that only does 35!!!
I think it would be cheaper to buy a proper Lotus and one of those mini submarine things!

All electric?? Water?? Doesn't sound very safe at all.

I finally found a post that mentions that its electric - here ya go:

I'm pretty sure it was Richard Hammond that tested it on Top Gear, but I can't find that on the net.
I'm not sure if you're just being sarcastic or not, but don't worry about the water/electric mix - in this world of amazing technology we have ways of isolating the two - think of boats, submarines etc - it's only around things that aren't made to be submersed that it's unsafe - think pc and coffee ;-)
Although it does look really smart, it wasn't vey good as a car, a boat or a submersible, but hey it's very inventive - and without these small steps, a lot things wouldn't have got invented so - you never know, in a few years time we might have a proper Lotus Esprit that goes underwater, is airtight, moves like a submarine, fires bullets and missiles and is bulletproof..........
