Lets get two things clear before we get too carried away...

At the moment, there has been NO confirmation that the PS3 verison of the game will get trophies.

This rumour started when someone over at another PS3 trophies site asked a sega rep during one of the videogame events earlier this year if Sonic Unleashed would get trophy support and that rep said, "Maybe."

Since then, the story has become twisted, eventually, someone over at a sega news site said "Sega will put trophies in Sonic Unleashed." And that story made the front page news of this site... however, the story from that sega site is very misleading if you know the history of the Sonic Unleashed trophy support rumour...

Secondly.

The game is being developed primarilly for the Xbox 360... As we all know Xbox 360 games must have achievements. Therefore if sega are to port the achievments as trophies... it's most likely going to be the same list...

So I present to you, the Xbox 360 achievments and images... However... There is nothing console specific about the game, both the PS3 and 360 versions are identical, so if sega are planning to give Sonic Unleashed trophies... the achievement list is most likely going to be ported to the trophy list too.

Without further delay...

You can see from the achievments that this list is very portable, and even tell what rank of trophy each achievement will be... alas, no platinum yet.

Once again, this is not yet a confirmed list for the PS3, however, since sega have gone on record to say that the PS3 and Xbox 360 version will be the same. If the PS3 version is to get trophies... I'd bet my bottom dollar that this will be it.

Sega have announced that they have delayed the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Sonic Unleashed in Japan only (the Wii version is unaffected). The game was scheduled for release on December 18th 2008 but will now it will hit Spring 2009. The game is set to hit North America next week so it is unclear if Sega USA will also announce a delay. It is also possible that Japan will be getting a vastly different version of the game. source (http://www.maxconsole.com)

Am I the only one not excited about this game? The last one was possibly the worst next-gen game I've played and after reading the above, I'm fully expecting another bad entry in the Sonic series.

I'm not excited. I'm only excited about the Sega Ultimate, which contains some decent sonic for a change.

I believe this will be a good sonic game, despite the night scenes. If this sucks im giving up on sonic all together until sonic and mario fighting comes out :o

Wow this list is as boring and as crap as the game and before anyone asks yes i have actually played an incomplete build of this game and while the day scenes are bloody sweet and basically old sonic in hd, the night time levels are sh!t they are identical to how sonic ps3 played. Gonna avoid this like marriage.

When did you play it and where... I only ask because it wasn't apart of the London games event, and the last games event that it was presented at is a very different version to the current press copy thats going around the various news sites.

Only I doubt that the version you played will be anything like the final one.

I dunno about this game, I really want it to be good, it got a big mixed reaction during the last main games event that it was showcased at, the main problem was frame rate, but in the last month, the press have been very positive about their build of the game.

Hey King, ive got several friends within the games industry 2 of whom work for uk ps3 publications. Me mate who got hold of the incomplete code for the game got it from a good friend of his who is a long time sega rep. I shot over to play it as im a big fan of the old sonic games and this looked promising the build i played was about 85% complete its an older rep copy not the slightly moe polished version that the major websites and reviewers have got their hands on. Day time was fantastic really felt more like Sonic HD than sonic unleashed must admit i only exprienced minor frame rate drops if alot was going off on screen but thats promised to be polished by final print but the night time levels are where the problems hide they are just bloody awful! they play just like sonic ps3 which was utter horse sh!t. Problem was when i spoke with sega rep while he was about and its a straight 50.50 split of day and night in terms of levels BUT whats not mentioned is the day levels are over a hell of alot more quickly than night so really in actual fact its more 60-40 or 70-30 in the favour of gameplay to the night time. Concept is great but werehog just dont cut it for me, if the game was just daytime Sonic HD then i would love it and buy it but aslong as its got werehog in i aint touching it now, hopefully next sonic will be SONIC HD and just be what the day time levels are old sonic in new HD. (ive also had my hands on PoP if you wanna pm me about that mate)
