ADDING TROPHIES TO GAMERCARD - Guide to avoid being branded a cheat!

Right, a common problem us moderators are having is people being mistaken for a cheat when in actuality, they were merely confused by the system and didn't know where to add a Trophy count to their Gamercard.

When you click update Gamercard as seen on this page

you can see you only have the options of putting in your PSN ID, PSN Comment and Gamer Level, but no option to put number of Trophies

Now people are leaving it at that, and it's automatically giving the same amount of Trophies as their Gamer Level or no Trophies at all and making people appear as cheats.

This is what you must do to add Trophies you've earned from a particular game; on the horizontal panel, you must click either "Retail" or "PSN"... Retail for games you buy in store on discs (physical copies) like Uncharted, MGS4, etc, or PSN for games you've bought from the online store that are digitally store on your HDD like PixelJUNK Monsters, Super Stardust HD, etc.

Now considering SSHD is the only game with Trophies currently, you'll be adding those. So click PSN, then on the next screen, click Super Stardust HD

Now on the next screen, simply put a tick in the box next to the Trophy or Trophies you currently have, and simply click "Update your Trophies" and then voilà, you're all done!

I know it seems like a simple task, but a lot of people do need it explaining to them because we don't tolerate cheaters so don't get yourself mistaken for one! ;)

Maybe their should be a rule that restricts image width? It's slightly annoying to scroll over to the right so I can see it all.

I haven't had any problems with images yet, the only one that I've had to scroll (just a tiny bit) for was the one found in this thread (http://www.ps3trophies.co.uk/showthread.php?t=359).

I'm curious, what resolution are you running at?

Also, this should be posted in the feedback sub-forum in an individual thread. ;)

lol, No probs. As I said, it's only the smallest amount of scrolling - I'm running at 1440x900 (that screenshot is 1280x720) - the only reason I have to scroll is the fact that it has an avatar bar to the left ;)

This might have been better in the feedback section...why not add a link to that page that will take you to a list of all games (retail and psn) so that you can add a trophy from there. Then people will have the difference right in front of them so they don't have to look in a thread to see what mistake they are making? Make the difference clear on the page...what about a mouse-over message? Or a small point in brackets?

I had to scroll here, and while thats no big deal, its a little annoying. Res is 1152*864 on a 4:3 screen. You wide screeners won't have a problem but i run dual 4:3 screens CRT's... Yeah i know, i'm working on replacing them.

I saw these Trophy Cards on another forum, really liked the look of them, and signed up to get one. But the method of adding Trophies to the card is too convoluted and tedious, having to click each trophy, then click back to the page, and repeat. So much so that I just gave up after adding just 3.

I hate to sound like a whinger in my first post on the forums, but you seriously need to streamline the method. The Playfire cards are far simpler to add to, and thus far more attractive to use.

There's a button next to the Trophy Title, you need to be logged in and the game must have trophies,

The one in my sig at the moment updates automatically. Is there no way you can link to our accounts and do it that way?

Currently we can't do that at this moment. PS3trophycard.com has some way to do that, which isn't officially supported by Sony. In the past week we have contacted Sony asking if they had a development kit which they stated that they didn't.

I have all my trophies booked, but then there where two more trophies listed. Then I have deleted all the trophies and there are always two trophies listed (1 bronze, 1 silver).

Think this is a bug - what can I do? I have reported it to jvinson@ientry.com (jvinson@ientry.com) three weeks ago, but there is no answer or bugfix in my profil!!!

Is there a way of reverting back to the 'select all' style instead of the 'pretty but pain in the butt' ticks and crosses.
I've got near 600 trophies to add and each time it refreshes and jumps to the top of the page:bigcry:

I've just looked and your trophy count counts upto two more than what your gamercard says, so I've changed this to "556", however, when I checked your PSN account, you only have "553" trophies. So, please can you sync your gamercard within 48 hours, otherwise I'll have to remove you from the leaderboard.

I have removed the bronze and the silver trophies from your gamercard. Please add all your trophies back onto your account.

To avoid this problem again, please make sure you only check off ONE trophy at a time, waiting for the page to FULLY REFRESH each time. Because if you try to check off more than one trophy at a time, before it refreshes, or stop the page from refreshing, then check off another trophy, then you'll have the same problem again.

Sorry, but the reason why we got rid of the "select all" feature, and the checkbox feature, was because people kept having problems with their gamercards each time they used it.

We may bring the feature back in the future, maybe when we've tested somethign like it.

THX a lot. But it would be a nice feature if I could choose more than one trophy at the same time - I have over 900 trophies to list. :shocked2:
