RIP silicon buddy.

On the subject of Brutal Legend... I never finished that game.. I think I got nearly to the end and then drifted away from it for some reason.. now if I went back I wouldn't have a clue what any of the buttons did and would take ages to get back in the groove!

Similar thing happened to my daughters PS3 the other week, it was my old fatty before I got a slim. I couldn't let go of him, we've shared so many memories, of him watching me reclining with a fag hanging out my gob and a glass of red in the other hand (don't know how i'm using the controller in this story) I used the Mrs' hairdryer to fry his innards and hopefully repair the solder on the faulty connection (similar to mouth to mouth) and low and behold, ITS ALIVE. He's now still going under the instruction he's nil by mouth (no discs to go in him) and to use him sparingly and not just for charging her Ipod.

I know this type of fix is only generally short lived but it allowed me to get my game out and about 10hr useage in and still no problems.

Thanks for all the kind words guys. I spoke to Sony, he's definitely kaput. Going to take him apart to get the game out. I've ordered another phat one so I shouldn't be out of action for too long.

More bad news, my new ps3 is damaging the discs until they can no longer be read. To prove this I put an old copy of Terminator Salvation in, couple of small scratches but nothing big. It froze twice before I even reached the Main Menu, when I took the disc out there was a streak, that wasn't there before, that goes right across the disc, the exact same as my Brutal Legend disc. At least this one has a year warranty. More fun fun fun with Sony.
