B Spec Historical event race 2

My Class 27 driver just cant win it. Ive tried a fully tuned:
Toyota 7
Jaguar XJ13(both chrome line and brought 20 million one)
Ferrari race car
Ford Race car

Ferrari came 2 at best, but no way close to the leader.

What have people used to win the event?

Also whats the best car settings to use?

If i remember rightly i used the 2J.. A tip would be to take it slowly, dont spam overtake when your going through the tunnel, for that bit slow pace down because it nearly always crashes on the chicane, then speed up through the bay and slow down again just before the last turns in the lap... my driver kept hitting the edge just as he was about to get on straight, I think it took two goes to get in lead with the 2J and when I was there it was easy

I used one of the Chapparell cars as well, not the wedge shaped one, the other one, put the biggest turbo on just incase and my bob had no problem, absolutely blitzed it. Like the previous reply, dont spam overtake or speed up, if you have a faster car he will do just fine.

Ok thanks will try that. found myself bashing the overtake as speed up never made any difference due to the numberous tight corners.

i just waited till i was a higher level i was level 35 and he wont it first time i tried it :)

gave up in the end, doing as you did, im just off level 32 so doing plenty of 4 hour races etc to get EXP.

Just an update, now coming upto B-Spec level 37 Driver class 37. He is still useless. Tried everything mentioned above, but cant find the 2J or 2D.

Just another update, borrowing the 2J of a friend, been trying for just shy of 2 hours now. wont win cant win....truly awful.

another update, its been over 3 hours of grinding and he still hasn't won. so ive given up again.

As i gave up, during the race he got to first place, currently holding it.


If anyone in future comes across this thread. I gave up on borrowing or using the 2J, its sh*t. Stick with the Toyota 7 you win from B-spec 'like the wind'

Fit: Stage 2 turbo, max speed 155MPH, lower the car front and rear at -40mm. Dont not tocuh anything else. After 3 hours+ of trying to win this race using various cars this was the only way for my driver to win it.

or you can just rank up a couple of levels put racing medium tires on a toyota 7 race car and save yourself 3 hours :L

just checked, yeah i had them aswell, missed it out on last post. Anyway. Truely awful race. good luck to those who haven't done it yet. keep quiting the race back to the menu until one 2J is in the race, and starts in 9th place.
