And it's a big one! 600 mb!! So here is what is involved.


- Online collectors dealership (everchanging deals)

It is a new section on GT life, and allows you to find the rarer cars a bit easier. The cars are going to change.


- Online rewards

You can now level up A-spec by playing online and gaining exp.


- Seasonal events

Official PD online events, with everyone in the same category of car, and restrictions. Leaderboards for drifting and time trials.


- HUD can be removed now.

Small but some people will find significant.


- Prizes have changed and more has been added.

Expect to get some "free" cars when you next play. Things like the AGM events reward you with more cars.


- Increase on prize money and exp for races.

Only until January 2011 so get grinding now!


- Mechanical damage on practice mode.

meh!


- Save games can be backed up.

solves any worries about YLOD


- New rewind option with replays.

Handy for getting a perfect photo.


- Search options in garage now stick.

A timesaver if anything.


- Red Bull car now called X2010

Yeh I think so MT. Ive heard of reports of people literally switching on the game to get cars for "nothing". Sadly the extra credits will have to be earned, but the fact that the cars are retroactive is nice.

ah cool i dont mind about the credits im just glad they've done this because the prize cars for all the endurance races wern't worth playing 5+ hours for :)

Yip. And takes about an hour depending on your internet speed.

Other than that, I don't see much else wrong....oh, aside from there being well over 200 horns in the game.....why so we need horns? :P

There are other little tweaks too, like being able to skip the new car cut scene so you can choose whether to use it or not and get your new colour item (if any), and finally being able to restart a race without a full reload which makes grinding Indy on the American event oh so much less tedious.

I am getting Gran Turismo 5 for Christmas and I was just wondering how long it is going to take to install the game and how long it is going to take to download and install the patches, before I can actually play the game?

Well all patches shouldn't take more than 2 hours at the very most and the 8gb install you don't have to do straight away so just leave that till a time when you aren't going to use the ps3, think my 8g install took a hour or 2 not sure.

The install takes around 45 minutes to an hour yeah.

they could have added vauxhall/opel/holden to the dealerships but Id be asking too much lol
turns out the dont have my Astra VXR in the game at all :( better add it via update in future

I do like the seasonal races ya can win £1000000 for first place though lol
and each time I have logged in I got 5 new paint colours and same with each race Iv done, loads of paint lol 256 colours, no problem
