Has anybody beat this yet im finding it impossible :(
Im not there yet. What level do you unlock it? I know you can win a red bull X-1 by getting your B-spec driver to level 35.
It looks insane though. Heard this is where most people are going to fail getting :platinum:

honestly its soo hard this is defo the bit what is going to stop me getting platinum, you unlock it at level 30 and you have to beat sebastian vettel's time witch is stupidly hard because when you watch his replay hes like 2-3 seconds off the time you need for gold trophy :\ i dont have a racing wheel so im using my controller witch is probably making it 10x harder haha
Yeh the Wheel might help. Im only level 20 and busy working on B-spec, but it does look insane to be honest.

what wheel would you say is good? i want a logitec g27 but i dont fancy payin £200
I went for the G25 for the same reason you are avoiding the G27, too expensive. G25 is really good, loving playing with it. Blitzed the licenses with next to no problems, and Im putting that down to the wheel.
It improves nearly everything. I say nearly because I can't use it on snow or dirt for the life of me, so always revert to a DS3 for that.

ok thanks man :) can you swap the gear shift to the left side or is it stuck on the right side?
Stuck on the right side mate. I never use that, i use the buttons behind the wheel, but yeh, stuck to its position.

oh i didnt no it had buttons behind it, thanks :)
Yeh its got buttons just where your fingers would rest when playing. Pretty handy for up and down shifting. Def quicker than using the stick imo.

I really want to get to level 30 to unlock it - 25 atm :( Did you have to do any grinding because I have everything unlocked in gold other than the f1 championship and historic racing event thingy. If so, does it take long and what event did you do?
And did you say that the time for gold (which i assume you need to get to win the x1) was 2-3 seconds faster than vettel's time cos ive seen his lap and would be surprised to think it's even possible to go 2-3 seconds faster. And I don't even have a wheel :( Although I did get all licenses/specials gold without too much trouble.

yeah you have to do alot of grinding to get level 30 :\ i did the indy 500 endurance race and the daytona race in the american championship took me ages to get from level 26-30. and yeah i watched vettel's replay and he gets 2 mintes 6 seconds and you need to beat 2 mintues 4 seconds to get gold but theres 3 different challenges and i cant even get bronze on any of them :S lol i need a wheel badly.

Are there 3 x1's to win? one for all bronze, silver gold? apparently you get vettels one with red bull racing livery with all gold... And its been confirmed that you get an x1 once you are level 35 in b spec mode.
I'm not liking grinding. PD should have included more events or made the experience gain less (its currently 1.28 times greater each time). I dont mind grinding on b spec as i dont have to do anything but a spec? Come on PD...

Ah ok. Can't wait till I unlock the challenge but fear I wont be able to gold it - don't have a wheel so might be slightly impossible. Does the grinding take long? Im hoping the endurance events give you some decent xp so im not grinding to 40 for the trophy...

On the indy 500 endurance it gives you 200,000 xp every 2 and a half hours i dunno about the rest i havent unlocked them yet

Nope its to hard to get gold. I tought a G27 would help me a bit but nope. Even with the raceweel im 10 sec away from bronse at Monza.
And if you watch the replay how to do it you see its impossible to copy the steering.
Monza is by far the easiest of the 3 - Suzuka is the killer...

yeah im stuck on suzuka ive got gold on the other 2 an i got 2:10.64 on suzuka then my wheel decided to break :\ lol
My problem was booze - struggled to get bronze on Nurburgring but Monza wias pretty striaghtforward. Was far too drunk by the time I got to Suzuka, ended up having about 20 tries and only got to R130 once...

the way i got gold is braking really late into corners

I take it you have wheel? IMO the X1 is pretty much undriveable with DS3. You have very little control which is not good on suzuka...

So i take it it's not possible to gold this event without having a wheel then? Im not far off unlocking this event and not happy no one can do it without a wheel.

Got gold on all 3 yesterday :D Carbon X1 is saweet. I doubt if its even possible to get gold on suzuka with a ds3. took me 3 hours to get bronze on the stick. then a further 6 hours for a gold with a wheel.

I know of a couple of people that have got all bronze with DS3. If you want gold your going to need a wheel.
My advice is get to B-Spec level 35 so you get a free x2010 and then just practise with the car a lot
