Whats this all about? i set off then my engine doesn't respond to the throttle, it just loses revs and picks up some seconds later...then dies altogether. i'm struggling to do anything, all im getting is bronze for the licences and half the time i cant finish.

You can tell how much you are pressing the 'trhottle' by looking at the white bar fill up, my finger is on the button as far as possible and the bar is only just 1/10th full of white.

try changing your button configuration to accelerate using the triggers instead of the buttons.

tried that Craig, still happens, surely it can't be a dodgy disc?

It seems really odd. Can't imagine its a dodgy disc.

Ill have a browse online. See if I can solve it for you.

EDIT: Ok so I know there are no responses as of now, but these guys seem to be having a similar problem so keep an eye on this thread. (http://forums.gametrailers.com/thread/gt5-not-registering-controls-/1148224) Might get the annswers soon.

When i first got my game every time i got exactly 28.666 seconds into any race it kept crashing, tried it six times before deleting my save data and starting again and haven't had any problems since so if you are still not far in it might be worth just restarting as if there is a problem in how your save data was stored theres proberly no patch coming thats going to solve it.

I did it by switching off the accelerator and brake on the right anolog stick because my thumb kept hitting it

Will try that, altought i know about that analog, so i keep my thumb away from it.

I think your thumb may be resting on right the analog stick which controls throttle aswell. I use R2 but have found myself losing throttle before realising im brushing my analog stick. Defo reassign

Tried that, removed the analogue controls and went for a race in Nascar and got left behind. I hear theres a patch incoming in the next couple of days to fix something too.

Do you only lose revs while turning the wheel or going in a straight line???? If its when you turn the wheel its possible you have too much traction control. try taking the traction control off ?????

its random, most times its just at the starting line, They all go but leave me in the dust, hasn't happened today though.

It sounds to particular to be a disc though. But then again, im not techincally in the know, so maybe. Is the problem still happening?
