GT5 is almost at our door-steps from past few years. It easily holds the record for the number of delays announced for the game after release was scheduled. Now for all the fans as well as people looking at it in humour, the developers Polyphony Digital have announced that GT6 is in development.
Series creator Kazunori Yamauchi, confirmed to "Autoweek", that the development of a sixth title is underway for the racing franchise. Though it doesnt come as a surprise, that Kazunori was reluctant to give any details on a window of release.
He quoted:
It's not something that we can talk that lightly on. It took 2,000 days to get all the ideas that went into GT5. It's just too early to be talking about GT6.
Kazunori has also confirmed to autoblog Jalopnik, that game discs for GT5 are currently being pressed. Thus, hopefully this would mean that fans can look forward to release of the game before the end of the year. However, Sony hasn't confirmed any details to the release so far.
Sony' official site does display a release date of 30th November, 2010, but Sony proclaims this to be just a place-holder rather than a definite date.
A game that was supposed to be Ps3' launch title hasn't even arrived yet, one can only hope that GT6 arrives before a Ps4 is released.
