GT 5 delayed...again.

Well it's happened (and who really thought it wouldn't, lets be honest.)

It has been confirmed that Gran Turismo 5 has been delayed in the US until the "holiday period". (bit vague). There is no information as of yet if this will affect Europe as of yet but reading the quote below, you would have to assume that it will.


We can confirm that Gran Turismo 5 will not be available this November 2nd, but the game’s release will be coming this holiday season.

We sincerely apologize to GT fans for the delay, however, creator Kazunori Yamauchi and the team at Polyphony Digital want to make certain they are creating the perfect racing experience, and we are confident that this ambitious game will exceed expectations when it launches.

You have to hope this game comes out perfect or there might just be a riot on Polyphony Digitals hands :S

Yeap, that really pissed me off. I already preordered GT5 Signature Edt. from GameStop hoping that i'll play it in 2weeks cause i've been waiting for this game since i've seen 1st trailer. Checked the game news and this shit about GT5 being delayed AGAIN, You'r right this game better be perfect.

really?, I thought Id give that one a miss and just go for the collectors edition without the suitcase, didnt think ya were gettin anything too special apart from stuff with GT/polyphony stamped on it like the wallet and keyring/USB pen, the model car is only 1:43 scale thats pretty small, I dont know, tell me what you make of it when you get it.

speakin of which I just looked at GAME etc and the countdown of days is still for 5th Novemeber will these be changing and has anyone got notification from their preorders that we arent getting it (again) for a while?

ChrissyCooza1: I had confirmation from Amazon that it's been changed about a day after the press release, it's now 'sometime before Christmas' basically, no specific date.

Also, from what I've heard this is thanks to those idiot hackers. Sony have apparently delayed it because they want the latest version of whatever security system they use on their discs on all games released from October onwards or something, meaning the print run has been delayed while they update and try and sort out a new run for the game.
