Damn you Taku Imasaki
Well it's happened (and who really thought it wouldn't, lets be honest.)
It has been confirmed that Gran Turismo 5 has been delayed in the US until the "holiday period". (bit vague). There is no information as of yet if this will affect Europe as of yet but reading the quote below, you would have to assume that it will.
We can confirm that Gran Turismo 5 will not be available this November 2nd, but the game’s release will be coming this holiday season.
We sincerely apologize to GT fans for the delay, however, creator Kazunori Yamauchi and the team at Polyphony Digital want to make certain they are creating the perfect racing experience, and we are confident that this ambitious game will exceed expectations when it launches.
You have to hope this game comes out perfect or there might just be a riot on Polyphony Digitals hands :S
EDIT: Well sadly it's beem confirmed to be Europe too. There is still a promise of "before Christmas" so fingers crossed I still have £££. (SOURCE) (http://www.thesixthaxis.com/2010/10/13/gt5-delayed-currently-us-only/)
