ive seen aot further into the game....just the standard take over the city sort of thing.

The only good thing is the customization but i couldnt buy the game on this alone.

Yet again i might consider getting this game just because LBP is being delayed and this could prevent me from loosing my hair!

I don't give a damn how much it selled - the graphics SUCK and the controls have a chance of winning the award for the worst PS controls I have EVER seen in my whole gaming life.

It's just my opinion, but I was extremely disappointed by this game!

Gta4 was very good technically but not as much fun as the previous gta's, I have not played saints row 2 so can't comment on it. My favourite gta's in order are 1. Vice City 2. San Andreas 3. Liberty City (Gta3) 4. Gta4. Hopefully Gta5 or whatever its going to be called will reinstall the craziness of the PS2 versions.

SR2 is indeed graphically inferior to GTA IV and its not much of an improvement from SR1 like I was hoping it would be but this game I think it much better than GTA IV in many ways. I for one Loved GTA SA, SR2 lets you interact/customize as much and more than GTA SA. They have airplanes you can fly, parachutes, buying properties/businesses, buying drugs, throwing people, sticky bombs, vehicle/house interior/character/clothing customization, and CRUISE CONTROL!!!(sticky bomb + cruise control = fun as hell) unlike GTA IV.

the way I look at it SR2(especially playing co-op) is much more fun than GTA IV.

EDIT: another good thing about SR2, your garage has an endless list of cars you can put in it. you also don't have to worry about losing the car if it blows up or even if you leave it somewhere it will be in your garage the next time you check. Also if you are at a customize mechanic an are paying for upgrades to your car and you blow up the car or leave it before you get a chance to add it to your garage you still get it added to your garage as long as you paid for some customizing.

Simply put, I played GTAIV, and was never truely motivated to get 100%. I played Saints Row 2 on Tuesday, and ever since then I've been glued to the TV and my PS3. It is by far the better of the two. It's completely unrealistic, and god damn it, FUN. GTAIV, was far too realistic, and just not as fun. If i wanted realism, I wouldn't play a game for that.

Everything that was wrong with GTAIV, this game has fixed (though it's bugged the few things that were good about GTAIV - but nothing that'd make this game unplayable). The graphics suck yes. The cars disappear yes. But this game is god damn it fun. Have none of you tried Insurance Fraud? It is just soo god damn fun. I couldn't see something like that working in GTA, it's just too damn fun for GTAIV.

Have any of you managed to go on a killing spree in GTAIV and survive? I know I wasn't able to survive more than a minute, where as in Saints Row 2, I was alive for over 10. It reminded me a lot about GTA2, which is to date MY FAVOURITE GTA. The reason being the whole "respect" thing which reminds me how I use to kill Zaibatsu folk to get the Yakuza to like me and so on.

Simply put, this game, even though with its bugs, is the most fun that I've had.

I actually would say that SR2 is what GTA4 should have been. SR2 seems more like a sequel to the GTA 3 series. GTA 4, imo, is one of the most over hyped games ever. The one thing that everyone said was great about GTA 4 was the story, when there wasn't really a story. GTA: SA had a better story line then GTA 4 did.

SR2 is a great game because it knows what it's fans want. We want a game that is fun to play, and it doesn't try to be to serious.

I beat the game in just about as much time as I did with GTA 4, so the stories are about the same length. I think most people don't like SR series because is forces you to do the side missions in order to do the main missions. It is a cheap, but decent, way to extend the game play.

The graphics leant too much towards the cartoon style, the physics and engine (especially on cars and handling) were stupidly uneasy on the eye and the multiplayer left alot to be desired with a blatently obvious stepdown in everything the single player had, no doubt in order to cope with the aspect of online itself.

I fully agree.There was a point in time where i thought this game was ok. This is while I was throwing people into cars and off cliffs but after i played for a full 5 minutes more i now know how well disappointed I am at this game.
This is the second most glitchy game i've ever played I think (first being driver 3 ) an example of the crazy glitches is on the first mission escape from the prison my friend got trapped by police cars and his car litteraly lifted of the ground and flew half way across the map and this is no lie.

Im not saying people shouldnt like this game or even play it im just saying how glitchy it is :veryangry2:

i've heard a lot about saints row 2 and everybody was excited so i thought i'll rent it and have a look myself.

i was playin for 30 min and my main thought was WTF? this is supposed to be a game on next-gen consoles? it looks like GTA:SA in 720p. the graphics? don't get me started. the cars only have light effects on the wind shields. they look like toy cars and move like that. the whole atmosphere of the city? what atmosphere? i'm def not a fanboy of GTA but what the heck where those people thinking releasing a game like that which costs over here 70 €.

i could make a whole list of pro's and con's but there would be way too much con's. for everybody that's interested in that game, i'd strongly recommend to rent it somewhere and have a look before you spent your money. you might not get what you expect.

i don't see what's bad about this game.. i love it i just started to get bored of it and my game time is 35 hours at the moment and i havnt even tried online all you people see is the graphics.. and think its crap. i didn't really care about glitches they were quite funny and fun. too bad it doesn't have trophy.. if it did i would have all of them and also the cheats in here are really fun to mess around with.

The whole SR game just feels like an XBox title to me.
