Quick question

My old ps3 had the YLOD, I now have a new ps3, just a quick question. Whenever I go onto the story mode of a game will all my trophies be lost/reset when I play that story.

Trophies will not be lost, but you will have to restart any storymode from the beginning .

kl because when I went on assinscreed2 I lost the 9% I had on that game

Unless you didn't sync your trophys recently before YLOD, you shouldnt lose any

I have had the same problem and its a warning to autosync your trophies as soon as you can before disaster strikes. I always try to make it a habit to autosync as soon as i finish a game for a day and have gained trophies
