It really is a single player game not a multiplayer as ya may think cos you can only call a friend in to help complete level, ya cant complete the game together, it isnt exactly full co-op action is it? especially considering you have a certain criteria to meet before you and a friend can even join a world, based on exp level, level bosses being dead or not etc etc.

That and the game just doesn't explain anything to ya, where to go, what to do, who to talk to, who to keep alive and who to waste (if ya fear loosing a trophy on the way)... example could be, I only found out how to upgrade my character after at least 3 hours of gameplay after beating the first boss, wondering why my character was a pussy who couldn't do any of the next stages, nobody said speak to the bimbo with the stick and the wax blindfold.... which I still don't quite get lol and if you do miss a trophy, poke playing this again to get it, I heard a guy took 84 hours for 1 play-through!

After getting to terms with the gameplay and making swift progress I found this game ISNT hard like people say, its just simply annoying and this could be what people are confusing as difficult when ya die ya end up miles away with nothing and everyone you killed is re-spawned... what's difficult or hard about basically doing an entire level again, killing everyone AGAIN, getting all the way back to where you were originally?.... nothing, but its unnecessary and annoying, people play a level that lasts an hour or so, die and have to do it all again (this could happen a couple times), put down the controller and say "**** it", go play something else.

so I haven't played it much, no, im about half way through the 3-4 and made a start to 5-1 for ****s and giggles but I'll definitely see it through to the end, kick its ass and sell the son of a ***** cos its not worth a second play-through, no wonder people say its dead in the USA.

maybe it's just me but I thought it was fucking obvious to talk to her considering she wasn't there before (or at least I didn't see her before level 1), the only thing that annoyed me about the game was my mate telling what was round the corner, so just to be awkward when he said "watch yourself" I'd just rush in (and still win most the time), I wouldn't call it hard it's more "why didn't I use a potion before going in there?" or shit like that.

I read on another forum, Gamespot I think, that they were only selling a limited amount of the Black Phantom Editions in Europe and then not selling anymore. Can anyone confirm this? because i'd be pissed off if I couldn't get in a shop somewhere :P.

i got it for £20 because i had a fiver on me reward card so i couldnt pass that up. ive not had a chance to play much but its nice playing a game that doesnt hold your hand all the way through for once.

Trust me, with the Cling Ring, you do NOT want to be in body form. If you die it will make the level harder in body form.

It lasts until you die, or are you being sarcastic? I've gotten good enough at this game to play it without dying more then 5 times a playthrough, at least 2 deaths from the Maneater boss fight alone. I seriously played this game for 6 weeks straight almost nonstop to do that. You really do NOT want to form black tendency in any of the worlds unless you're very well prepared.

what is this world tendency anyway? me and my mate can't figure it out for life of us.

though I must say I'm gathering stones on 1-2 an my magic is taking 2 hits to kill them when I was in soul it only took 1 but I al so had my wizard cloths on (dunno if they boost the magic a bit(no they don't just looked))

World Tendency is how black or white the stones are in your Tendency map. Some things only happen in Black, like Black Phantoms and Special Black Phantoms who carry legendary weapons. Black tendency also makes enemies stronger. White makes them weaker and some things become available like a bridge appearing in 3-2 and such. You lower world tendency by dying in body form in that world and raise it by killing bosses.

Got the BP edition from amazon for £35! The day before it was £60, so I'm fairly happy with myself ^__^

A bit disappointed with the guide though, it seems that whenever something could do with some more explaining it tells you to go to the wiki =/
