This may come as a disappointment to most of the fans of the first game - Batman Arkham Asylum. The sequel to the award winning game of 2009 and one of the eagerly anticipated games of 2010, may not be releasing until 2011.
As quoted:

"We've been told that Warner has acted early to avoid releasing the game into a heavily congested pre-Christmas market. It wants to dominate the first quarter of 2011 instead, when it can get maximum retail space and mindshare amongst gamers."

Its a huge disappointment but the First one was delayed too and we got a fabulous product at the end of the day. Hope this happens with the sequel too.

Not all is bad though, as the all-new DLC is set to be created for Batman Arkham Asylum at Rocksteady.

As long as they make it as awesome as the first one, it's fine with me (even thgough I'm not sure I'll be able to play it in 2011).

If it gives them time to make another great game and live up to the expectations left by its predecessor, then a delay is probably for the best. Bring on 2011!

I feel exactly the same. Tbh i thought a mid 2010 release seemed too rushed. A sequele in just under a year didnt fill me with much hopes that it be brilliant....guess what am buying on pre order on the first quarter of 2011?
On a side note, cant wait for the dlc for the first game...will buy it inspite of not entirely playing the first one still. Note to self....get back in arkham soon.

I don't mind delays if they need time to finish development, but when they don't want to compete with the market, that's just wrong. Making us wait so they can get recognized more.
