The game has not been released yet so trophies might come friday in a patch!!!! 17.10.2008 is the offical release and the date a patch would go up, knomia said it will have trophies so dont get fifa pes 09 will have trophies!! maybe not friday but they are getting them!

I wouldnt put it past them patching it in the future but lets be honest, what are the chances of it being patched in a relatively soon timescale?

We've been calling for an MGS4 patch for about 4 months now and look at the company responsible for producing MGS4. Go figure...

They've had enough time to implement the trophy system from the off and they havent done it. Its a shame, for a company thats been one of the Playstations most regular producers, they aint half a bunch of lazy cunts.

Konami didn't develop MGS4, they only published it. Ultimately, the decision to patch trophies into a game lies with the devs, which in MGS4's case was Kojima Productions.

There's no reason why PES won't get trophies in the future, especially as it's been confirmed by sources at Konami that it will have them.

People don't need to source everything soon people will be posting an intro and people will be going source. Just wait until tomorrow and see what happens. These games were too far into production to add it into the game, they cant just click there fingers and the trophies are there they need to produce the patch test it give it to sony to test and release its a time consuming process ;)

but they manage to incorporate 360 achievements so why not trophies. just plain lazyness if you ask me

Microsoft have in place that all games have achivements as standard. Sony intend to implement this in 09 too. PES 09 has obviously been in development pre-trophies so they were in no rush to include them I suppose.

So there's a patch tomorrow is there. Fingers crossed.

Read my point above, 4 and half months roughly since the PS3 trophy system was unveiled and you're gonna try and tell me they didnt have time?

Thats enough time to implement trophies into every PES game thats ever been released, not to mention theres an ingame rewards system already built in as a basis for them.

Pure lazy, if the online still sucks its gonna be the first time i've ever passed on a PES game, sick of lazy developers expecting me to pay my hard earned for watered down tosh.

Offline it seems ok so far, online, i'm not so sure. Played two matches, no lag in first but some in the second. Plus players now seem unable to tackle properly and have a habit of leaving the ball for a team mate who is near by then losing it all together without you pressing anything. Hopfully this is just a learning curve. Oh, and that crappy tap in goal still seems to be the way to score of choice, it really pisses me off

Imo Pes lost its fun this year. Sure its more realistic than 2008, but if I want to play a realistic Football simulation game I'll play Fifa 09.

Pes always was about the speed, long shots, dribles etc... Trying to make it more realistic just takes the fun out of it. Long live Pes 6.

a patch is coming to sort that out. (supposedly). I was pretty annoyed that i had to change the squads straight away - it annoys me how they did some of the transfers but not others. surely you do none of them or all of them.

Dont forget the Berbatov and Robinho transfers happened deadline day, the game would have already gone off to be mastered by then.

The reason for the mis-spelling of Berbatov's name is probably due to licencing issues/image rights. An old problem throughout the history of PES which is gradually getting better.

It's the same every year.
Any transfers in September don't get completed. i don't think this is due to the DVDs being mastered or anything, but more to do with the fact the codings have been written and are based on winning 11 which is released in Japan in the summer.

Player's names are misspelt due to licensing. Remember a few years ago when the whole Holland team were called something like Orange 1, Orange 2...hahaha Konami can be VERY japenese sometimes!

They've said they'll update transfers etc after the January transfer window which is when I predict the trophy patch will be released.

Also i can confirm Berbatov is definately correct in the game, even the commentators say it.

Pro evo now comes out before winning eleven. Since last year the new Pro Evos normally come out around end of september-beginning of october, while the Winning elevens come out mid-end November. It's still not out over here.
But i think this tactic is crazy. They seem to release an un-finished product (last year espcially) in the least forgiving countries, and then bring a patch out in time for the Japan release, where they have a complete stranglehold of the football game market lol.
I don't think Konami will ever learn to be good at releasing football games, it just pains me that they are still MUCH BETTER than any of the competition. MUCH BETTER
