Can you improve the PS3?

I submitted an idea yesterday but it still hasn't been approved, which I'm pretty gutted about.

(It was something along the lines of having online PSN profiles, such as playstation.com/profile/deathvein, in the style of Xfire profiles.)

But yeah, this is a pretty good idea. Sony need to gain some respect back these days.

i can't really be arsed posting something there, but what i want is a much more manageable trophy/profile system.

For example, when comparing trophies with other people the games take forever to load and when/if they do the order is horrible. Surely two sub sections of PSN games and PS3 games would make it a more seemingless experince?
Then there is the problem with once you have checked someones trophies on a certain game the order of the games list changes so you have to look through them again to find another game you wanted to check your friends trophies on. (if that makes any sense)

Get rid of home.

Try to update the browser so certain websites like Facebook actually work. I can go on facebook but i can't comment on anything from my PS3 which seems ridiculous saying how you can sync your trophies with your facebook.

Sony should create some sort of device were people can put all there games in ( kinda like them mutiple music CD players) this way users would put in all there games or their top 5 games in this device. So when users come to play a game they can select it from the xmb. This would save users for putting in and taking out games. Says its stupid but it could work.

To be honest i don't think many of them will happen. The trophy system is just a minor thing. I thing sony are wanting suggestions to change your experience. Like cross game chat, or a context sensitive PS button.

Fucking hell... I thought I was lazy, I've changed my mind now. And there was me thinking having nothing but COD to play would encourage people to move...

Hopefully there's enough opposition to DLC only titles that it won't happen. I like discs, a physical entity that you can hold, trade, keep in a library. I know the software devs would cream themselves at the idea, keep the money rolling in for them, but it would be bad for consumers.

And changing discs is hardly a "major inconvenience".

Im sure games will always be on discs as people wont be able to afford many new games as they would not be able to trade them in resulting in not as many being shifted from the shelves. It will also put alot of people out of work, and drunk people downloading games they cant afford!!

Funny, one night I was thinking of something similiar. Its already done with CD Players, I had....or my family had this big HI-FI and you opened the top glass hatch and insert up to 5 discs. Then you just press two buttons and bang jobs a goodin.

All they need is a top 5 tray to put 5 discs onto and a small mechanical arm that reaches in a grabs the one you want which can be selected from the Game Menu on the PS3 which you can manually label. The arm doesn't have to shove the disc all the way in, only half way and the PS3 does the rest.

Though I like the sounds of DLC better. Some decades down the line you might think to yourself "remember that game?" who needs to remember you can still download and play it :D

Platinuming a game and getting themes to decorate your PS3 and Avatars to show off sounds like an idea and I like the idea of Home, it shows off to developers what the PS3 can really do, being able to view video screens with weekly updated videos is awesome ingame. I hope a developer notices and makes a nice MMORPG for the PS3, death to the one who said get rid of it.
