Dang, as soon as I get rid of Prince of Persia they halve the price of the Epilogue DLC, I wouldn't have minded playing it but not when it was £7.99. Ahh well I heard it was pretty crap anyway. Nothing for me this week although Wakeboarding HD does look and sound pretty good after I read about it on the Playstation Blog a few days back, but £11.99 seems a bit to steep to me.

Maybe I΄ll get the PoP Epilogue, I heard it's pretty short so €4.99 is a nice price...maybe I'll get the 7 Deadly Sins for GH5 as well. The rest is pretty crappy...

The servers might crash with the rush of people getting that haze dlc.

that can't be the right price for dragon age dlc can it?

Lmao.

Just South Park's Poker Face and Rock & Roll Queen for Rock Band for me this week.

And yes David that is the real price.

The DLC is 20 hours long, more than most retail games nowadays. So yeah, that is the right price.

Crush for PSP is excellent, if you like puzzles. Exit is canny good too. If I didn't have them already I'd be picking those up whilst they're reduced.

couldnt agree more such an outrageous price specially when its 25 quid for the 360 on shopto.net

I hope that quote is just to convince yourself, because £32 is way too much for DLC. If you want a good comparison ... Borderlands General Knoxx DLC, only £6 for a good 10 hours plus gameplay.

And even if you think its longer than most retail games nowadays (dunno what games u play but I get way longer than 20 hours out of most of my games), unlike retail games you can't trade it in when you've finished with it. Even if you pay full price for a retail game if you trade it once you've done maximum a FULL price game will stand you to is 20 quid.

Bottom line ... it's a rip-off.

And another thing ... if £31.99 is such a GOOD price, why is the XBox360 version only £29.99 on disc?

Still a ridiculous price; you can probably find Origins cheaper than that, and that has treble the amount of playtime.

Make it cheaper, dammit BioWare! We're in a recession here, you know!

I'm not defending the price, just saying why it is so much, jeesh. I'm not even going to be getting the DLC.

And while my PS3 is on I'll go down my trophy list and say what games took me less than 20 hours to complete.

BFBC2
KZ2
BFBC1
GoW 1
Uncharted 2
Batman: AA
CoD: W@W
AC2
MW2
Mirrors Edge
Bionic Commando
Dead Space
Unreal 3
Terminator Salvation
Resi 5
Alone in the Dark
Uncharted
LBP

So yeah, quite a few.

I think Crisbes is right, either games are too short or too crappy these days to be worth full price, even half price is much sometimes. Haven΄t played Dragon Age but I will when the price drops and if I like it and the DLC is really 20 hours think I΄ll just get it.

Have you played Dragon Age Chris? If it is over 20 hours long then about 15 hours of it will probably be listening to characters talk, and talk, and keep talking. Even skipping all the talking took frickin ages. Hopefully it means 20 hours of 'playing' for anyone who bothers to buy it

davidtcawley

I quite liked Dragon Age, my sort of game. However I'm not prepared to pay that much for DLC. Far more expensive than any other DLC. Part of Bioware's strategy though I guess, they had DLC for sale on release day. For me that content should be on the disc. Just my opinion of course and I'll vote with my feet by not buying this.

I wasn't talking about complete, I was talking about how much time you get out of games ... besides a good amount of the games u listed there have online modes and were mainly designed with that in mind ... ie MW2, LBP, KZ2. Getting platinum on most of them games take well over 20 hours.

If the Dragon Age DLC had a good amount of replay value on I would still say it is overpriced -- no game expansion should be over £20 (and I'd say that was expensive too). IF it was a standalone product and you didn't need the original game then I would concur that it was worth it's price ... but it's not, it's a rip off.

BTW Chrisbes, this post ain't a dig at u its a dig at the stupid pricing.
