Gold Star?

Hey guys, I was wondering how many kills you need to get with a gun to unlock the "gold star" thingy for it. Also is it a different amount of kills with each gun?

Hmm I have a silver with an LMG and I think I need 90 more for the gold, so maybe about 150?

Not to sure, I have gold star 4 on my XM8 Prototype with 400 kills, I think after silver it is every one hundred kills with the weapon, not 100% sure though. Also does anyone know whether the stars count towards the 50 Awards?

I just got my 1 st gold star using the first (default?) gun in the mechanic class and that was for 100 kills.

As far as I know the stars do not count towards 50 unique awards trophy but there are a number of awards for gaining a certain number of gold and also platium stars that do go towards the trophy

I have my gun to gold 5 but someone killed me with gold 7 so i put money on 10.

I have just found out that the weapon stars do count towards 50 Awards, as I just got the silver star for my knife and the trophy unlocked, just thought I would let people know :)

i'm pretty sure the pistols are quicker to star too and the stars do count towards the awards,though i'm not sure if every star does
