While yet to hit EU shores, BlazBlue was one of last years surprise hits and to some (myself included) was the superior fighter to Street Fighter IV. The spiritual sucessor to the Guilty Gear franchise from Aksys Games the title was a 2D fighter with stylised anime visuals, a simple yet elegant control system, and a branching storyline that delved into the Multi-Verse concept. While the first title will be hitting stores March 12 here in the UK, the arcade sequel has been out for a while now in Japan with console fans waiting with baited breath as to whether their fighter of choice would be seeing a console sequel too.
Well according to Famitsu: Yes we will, in the form of BlazBlue: Continuum Shift.
Bringing three new playable characters; Tsubaki Yayoi, Hazama, and u-12 (myu-12), new stages and even some new play modes I know this will be on my watch list. Japanese release is set for this summer while an International date has yet to be set.
