Fallout: New Vegas Teaser Trailer

Fallout fans rejoice, not only have Obsidian decided to grace us with a new teaser trailer for the upcoming addition to the Fallout franchise but said teaser comes with a vague date too. We can expect more Wasteland action come Fall 2010.

definately cgi but looks good...i am yet to play fallout 3 but have the guty edition which i aim to complete before this one comes out...i gotta feeling this is gonna be good.

Just trying to work out, what is that robot supposed to be doing? Picking stones out of the sand around the dead body? Is he supposed to be looting the corpse? I don't get it. Looks great though, Las Vegas is looking in surprisingly good condition to say it should have been nuked as a major city in the USA :S

By the sounds of it, Ron Perlman's gonna be providing his voice to the game again.

As long as this isn't plagued by the same amount of bugs found in Fallout 3, this is gonna be a game of the year contender, no question.

Interesting seeing the Strat in the background. Looks like the city is built around it rather than the 3 mile strip which I imagine will work better in terms of faster traveling in a game.

Aside from that there's not much to it. Tells us very little so I'm a bit dissapointed. Can't wait for a real trailer.

don't forget that in the fallout universe the 1950's golden years never ended and the usa did not turn out how it did in our world. so Las vegas is going to be completly different i suspect.
plus its "new" vegas if it was nuked it was probably rebuilt...thus it being "new"

You just gave me a great thought, can you imagine if Las Vegas has carried on pretty much like normal? With people from all around the US coming to chill out and have fun, like ghouls and raiders and wastelanders just hanging out in the casinos and bars, robot croupiers and bartenders, 50s music, I can really picture it. I think that would be so sweet. An the main storyline could be that this "oasis in the wasteland" is being threatened and the people there need to fight back to protect it. Would be pretty cool I think!

No it's not a prequel or sequel, but it is set during the same time period as Fallout 3.

Looks like some more details have come to light thanks to a few magazine interviews.

It's set 3 years after Fallout 3 and should be considered an extension, not a sequel.

Theres a new difficulty mode called Hardcore. It's basically the hardest mode from Fallout 3, only the player will suffer from dehydration if he doesn't drink enough water during the game.

VATS is back, as are Super Mutants.

One of the more interesting notes is that unlike Fallout 3, you're actions this time really will have lasting consequences, you'll notice changes in the environment (I bet this doesn't reach final cut) and by the end of the game you'll see how you've shaped the world through your actions good or evil.

One other thing you should know about hardcore mode, is that healing isn't "Instant" meaning after you use a Stimpak for example, you'll have to wait for it to take effect.

So far... I'm loving the idea of this mode, guaranteed to get some extra playability outta it.

Likewise i hope it isnt rushed, but i love all the fallout games especially fo3, so i am sure i will be well impressed with new vegas :D

Fallout 3 was and still is one of my favirote games and i cannot wait for this game to come out its gonna be amazing!!!
