Sony have announced that they are putting back the release of their new motion sensing peripheral until 'fall' (Autumn to you and me), due to the titles that are planned for the new controllers not being ready yet.
Kazuo Hirai, President and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. said:
"We have decided to release the Motion Controller in fall 2010 when we will be able to offer an exciting and varied line-up of software titles that will deliver the new entertainment experience to PS3 users."
As we in the EU tend to get stuff like this a lot later than the US and Japan anyway, it may not directly affect us too much, and it's good to hear that they're not just chucking it on the market without the software to support it.
Titles that were confirmed at the Tokyo Games Show to support the currently unnamed motion controllers include Resident Evil 5 (Alternative Edition), LittleBigPlanet Motion and Ape Escape PS3.
