PSN Maintenance Soon

2 planned PSN maintenance periods are coming soon. No one yet knows whether this is a global maintenance or territorial so try not to organise pwning ( Is it a word yet ) sessions for the second date.

Thursday 21st January (06:00 - 12:00)

Create a new PlayStation®Network account

Modify existing PlayStation®Network account information

Tuesday 26th January (09:00 - 11:00)

Affected services:

PlayStation®Network online gaming service

PlayStation®Home

PlayStation®Store (PS3?, Media go, PSP®)

PlayStation®Network account registration and log-in

These times are Hong Kong as it is still unclear whether it's global or not. Hong Kong are 8 hours ahead of GMT. Wasn't it nice of us to let you work out the expected downtime in GMT or your territory :P

Which can only be a good thing because Sony are most likley testing new features.

hopefully its in preparation for some new firmware features this year, and i should imagine, now Sony are adding the PSN to all their tech hardware it will be to support that as well.

Sony would never make us pay for the online play. As they know this is one of the things that makes the PS3 affordable in the long run over the Xbox.
