IGN Bias - SaintsRow 2 Will Have Trophies

LOL IGN idiots .


In IGN review it said that PS3 fans would miss Trophies in SaintsRow 2 which is a huge lie. Either the reviewer sucks at playing games or either he was payed to lie. Anyway, V-Cirose one of Volition (THQ) mods confirms that SaintsRow 2 will support Trophies.

At the end of the day, you shouldn't really trust those bias reviews.

The THQ Volition Employee (V-Cirose) : Yes, it has been confirmed that Saint's Row 2 will have unique PS3 trophies.

As far as what trophies are available for the PS3 and how to obtain them, that information has not yet been released (to my knowledge).

I know we knew but just so you can see that IGN are bias little buggers.

That's the same dev that told me SR2 will have trophies (which a pic of it is in the SR2 forum!!)

Look closely at the confirmation in question above, he doesnt actually mention that they will be out straight from the disc which brings the fact there could be a patch in the very immediate future, which would explain why IGN maybe missed it?

It is a very cloudy area at the minute and its all a bit too confusing. It would be nice to get direct information in regards to release or patch but at least they have been confirmed for sure.

Time, i'd assume.

They probably set some of their development team the task of making trophies aside instead of trying to intergrate them into development. Not to mention the fact they are unique and therefore more work would have needed to go into them to make them function properly. Most games have just carbon copied achievments but when you try and take the unique stance, it is clearly going to mean more work as you'll be making 2 seperate lists.

Maybe 'bias' isn't the word you're looking for. Bias against what, trophies? The game?

The statement in the review can be interpreted in a couple of ways, so if anything, the author is guilty of being vague.
