I love that design, and I love warhawk - and play it a lot - but still I'm only just getting to 50,000 points. And I'm sure the General rank is achieved about 275,000. But it's still way too much :(

Sod that, that son of a b!tch is mine, ive got two ps3s in my house. So people what gets you the most points in a round? i.e. what kill gets u the most points? Ill have this by xmas ............. 2010 :D

Most points in a round will come from playing zone matches - forget going for kills just aim at taking as many bases as possible!
Back on topic, that design is awesome! Like many others I doubt I will ever get my hands on it, I'm just approaching. 15,000 now.. :( i'm having better luck with the badges/medals though, just going through them on master level atm.
Richie, hurry up and get back on psn so we can go back to random suicide skydiving :P!

At least it makes catching trophy cheats easy (apparently at least 20 people have this trophy :D)
And I miss our sport, preach. I made a new one with my dad a few weeks back, where someone stands on that top tier on Omega Dawn, and the other person has to hit them with a cluster bomb... launched from the cluster pickup point :D great fun. It's amazing how much a cluster bomb resembles a rugby ball when it's flying straight at you.
Waiting for the uni network team to get back to me. Sent an email a little while ago, apparently it's being chased up tomorrow, so I might be on then - something tells me it won't happen but it shouldn't be too much longer now.

when you cheat with your friends to get LOADS & LOADS & LOADS of points.
RotaryRex
12-10-2008, 02:30 PM
That aint cheating its more like moral support! Ive been playing with a few of my mates we are all helping eachother out with the trophies etc but we have played the game a fair amount and paid for it and we aint trying to be top of the world wide leader boards or nothing so whats wrong with letting friends win CTF and ZONES to build up their rank, lets be fair if the rank was reasonable i would say no to it but when its like 300k which is STUPID with a capital S T U P I and D then playing forfit matches is a ok with me.

Stat padding IS considered cheating and WILL get your stats wiped! Hopefully you Trophy whores that want an easy fix in getting the platinum trophy will all get wiped and then come whining about it! The point of Trophies is to show that you are good at something, which can then lead to bragging rights, but if you cheat/glitch to get the trophies you're only cheating yourselves. Obviously you lack something in your lives, maybe you weren't hugged enough as a child, maybe you got dropped on your head, but either way you are S T U P I and D!

Wow you take trophies way to serious, seriously mate go to the park or something and go down a slide or get pushed on the swings you need to chill fella. And getting general aint a bragging right it just means you've got alot of spare bloody time on your hands to get 300k points, i know next time i get a call out ill ignore it just to get another 30points in warhawk and let whoever is burning alive do just that. And spelling stuff out to mock in reply to something that was done so before you is a obvious lack of originality and intelligence.
Richie
12-10-2008, 03:39 PM
Calm down guys, I won't ask again.
It is a really stupidly high requirement, but I'm sure some people out there have it, and worked their asses off for it. And that means the platinum trophy really is worth something, when you pad it means nothing, all it shows is that you indeed care too much about trophies that you'd pad all that time just for the platinum ;)
Although I would do it myself too if I had the time and/or willpower. I find I get bored with warhawk easily now, and with so many other great games coming out soon, it's going to take a real rainy day for me to work on getting this platinum.

Not to worry richie im as calm as could be was just putting him in his place, i kinda agreed with what was being said but he felt he need to be hitler or summit, like i said though i dont think stat boosting is great or something that should be done to get to the top of leaderboards etc where it really counts and shows you to be the best, but when it comes to acheivements like this unless you have "endless" amounts of free time you just cannot get some of these trophies and when you have paid your £40+ for a game and there is an acheivement in game or trophy to that matter your just as intitalled to get it as the next guy who might not have anything else better to do except be on the ps3 24/7.
Although trophies are a bragging right they also come with a flaw such as these warhawk ones, some trophies arent challenging they just require time, time playing the game and we all have different commitments in life so we all have different amounts of time, i for one have a job where i have to drop everything in a heart beat for, now if ive just played an hour long match of warhawk and i have to get my ass down to my station ASAP with an hour left of a game i loose the stats ive built up cause ive gotto pull the plug and move it so yeah i play with my mates at times to regain those points i worked for and lost, a good majority of trophies are just time suckers they dont require skill or set any sort of a challenge when it comes to those trophies and awards i dont see the harm in boosting between friends aslong as your not upsetting leaderboards etc, when it comes to REAL trophies like wipeout or eden that are challenging and offer a RIGHT to brag then hell no dont boost on them but not all of us have infinite time to do the time suckers and we have paid just as much as someone that does hell if they dont work we have probably paid for there game in the first place through tax so when you have little time free for these big ass trophies that take 50 - 300hrs a little help between friends is not really a major crime in my book.
And thats the only point i was trying to make, when it comes to genuine challenging trophies "hell no" to boosting but when it comes to a trophy that just wants you to play the same game mode 100 times (buzz im looking at you!) when the content in the game doesnt even stretch that far and is so repetive it drives you mad and takes up 50 hrs - 100hrs plus then i dont see why a few matches between friends is so bad, you pay your money for the game your intitalled to complete that game and its stuff to 100% anyway u like, even when i play friends games i dont just stand there letting them kill me or vice versa we play properly and shoot the crap out of eachother but we also aid eachother in getting a few extra points where we might normally not. Its kinda like saying dont earn co-op trophies with a friend cause its to easy instead play with 1 controller in each hand and do it that way 1 handed.

Becoming a General isn't the only thing that matters - how about all those badges etc ... some of them are really hard!
Richie

True - if you don't pad though, you're bound to have hit at least the global targets for all the medals and badges by the time you get to general rank.

Yep, btw when u say padding, did ya mean when u simply start a game and let each other capture the flag? Co that's not what ive meant. I saw once where some guys somehow lined the flags up so that everyone nearby earned a Flag Save every second. Sadly i was too much of a goody-goody :( and didn't join in otherwise I would have been General... then got my stats wiped :(

would it be fair to say that platinum in this game is not hard its just time consuming (as in most people who work and lead normal lives would have to spend at least a year playing this game and nothing else in every minute of their spare time and possibly not even sleep)? looking at most of the badges and medals the law of averages says that with the amount you must have to play this game to get to general you will have achieved most of them anyway. Controvertial opinion? discuss....

I think your right. I earn around 100 points a game usually, and am finding that I earn Medals and Badges progressively, instead of aiming for them. You think to yourself at the end of each game, that you've creeping ever closer to a new Medal or Badge or Rank. I guess it's just about keeping at it.

20k in a day is impossible without padding!
I get 200-300 per game WITH the winning ribbon, and thats me playing well. Im not saying im the standard or anything, just that i very rarely see anyone who gets more points than that legally.
I've seen and know a few generals and they have earnt every point, they have stuck with the game from the beginning and deserve the rank they have. Thats why I get so heated when people talk about lowering the General rank points just to get a Trophy. I do agree that LOADS of people have far too much time on their hands and that being the number 1 on the leaderboard is the best to them *cough*pokerggg*cough* but if you search the official Zones servers you will see that he is pretty crap at the game, and only gets his points from flying from one zone to another, whilst using stealth.
Sorry for getting pissed before Rotary but as I said it annoys me that people have jumped on the Warhawk band wagon simply because it has trophies and not cause it is arguably the best shooter/game on the PS3. Anyways, I wasn't totally pissed, take a look at the :p face I left below my rant... I was probably drunk or summat, or at work... lol

You can't do that anymore, that was the flag toss glitch which got removed in 1.3 or 1.4.

Ah no worries Daneshi, i was having a really sh!t day and my fuse aint the longest at the best of times plus wipeout had added to my lack of fuse the other day :veryangry2: really getting wound up by wipeout, but to make it clear mate i had warhawk long before trophies, the trophies simply pulled me back into the game and the expansions. Like i said i agreed with you in part about what you said cheaters do annoy the crap out of me but like i said i sometimes loose an hours worth of points due to my job where im on call and have to pull the plug in a seconds notice so i do at times play with friends purely to get those points back a little quicker and easier than playing in a full community room, still aint just getting cheap kills its just my mates are more my skill level i.e. crap :D

Hi guys I only got this game a couple of days ago, I did want it when I got my PS3 but with so many other great games around it got pushed to the back of my list until I saw it for a tenner in a game store with the headset!!! So grabbed it and started playing I find it really enjoyable (reminds me of Army Soliders for some reason?!?). But on topic I will never see that platinum trophy on my PS3 with me scoring something stupid like 10 points a match max! But is a awesome design!

its sooooooo easy i nearly done it all u need is 2 people 1 that can host a ranked match.
do a ctf in ranked w8 till the game starts kick all unwanted people then take turns with capturing the flag
takes a while i think its 23 points per flag? easiest way to do it tho.
