Ophellia battle at black tear

So Im playing the game on brutal difficulty, and every time I blow up the two shield towers...... well I get totally beat down. Any advice for defeating ths stage battle ???

I remember playing this battle with a friend, if I remember right it's one of the RTS battles?

We found sending waves of men in to defend a single position, while using a ballista (don't remember it's name, but it's basically a large catapult type vehicle) to destroy each tower. You take each tower then move the front line to the next tower, defend the position with waves of men and if the ballista is destroyed build another and keep going. Aslong as you yourself fight off Ophelia when she attacks you can take all the towers and then go for the finish.

This wouldn't be as hard if the RTS parts of the game didn't suck so much ass. They're just awful whoever thought they were a good idea should be fired, from a cannon into the sun.

Yeah, RTS fucking sucks. Brutal Legend would have been so much better had Mr. Schafer decided not to incorporate weak RTS elements, and make the campaign longer.
(srsly, 6 hours of RTS isn't fun!)

Well, I actually dont mind the RTS. Really when you look at the whole game these parts really only make up for I'd say 40% of the game play in the single player mode. I would say that the multi - player portion should not have used the RTS .

But I do still need advice for this lvl.

There's an easy but very time consuming way to do this battle. Get to the point where you have to destroy the two towers to proceed.

Once at this point, destroy one of the towers, but leave the other standing. Occasionally Ophellia will send some troops over the bridge, so have an army waiting at the other side so you don't have to wory about them.

Then, using Eddie, fly AROUND the towers and land as far to the side of her stage as you can. Chances are you will get attacked while there's loads of enemies there, but just keep going back when you get killed. When you can, summon the Duece (at the far side of Ophelia's stage again) and use the homing missiles to shoot all the enemies from afar.

It'll take a long time and you'll probably die quite a bit but you can do it. You'll also be amassing tons of Fans while doing this. When she has no enemies in her base destroy the last tower and attack her stage.

Note, she will still summon the odd few units to attack over the bridge, but your army should be able to handle them.

I will try this methodfor sure....nothing else is working. Thanx in advance bro

Well the method work wonderfully . As soon as I took her units down with the Duce I was able to build fan booths on her side and bring my army across. I ended up beating her in less than 15 minutes. Thanks again.
