Two "interesting" events

Had two "interesting" things happen to me last week:

Get summoned as blue phantom in 4-1, waved to host and then a large blade suddenly protrudes from my chest and drains my soul level. Screen fades out with the host waving back to me. The blade was attached to the host's black phantom buddy. I definitely learned to be more cautious when entering someone else's game as a blue phantom.
Did a Flamelurker run as blue phantom. Boss killed, I revive and load back into... 4-1 instead of 2-2, with the Archstone inoperable (probably invasion in progress). Had to quit the game to get out of that one.

Sneaky.
A large blade though? Sounds more like a backstab to me as Soulsucker requires a catalyst to cast.

And yes. I've experienced many resurrections placing my physical body in levels other than the one I bluestoned in.

yeah was definitely a backstab but i got a "your soul level was drained" message.
as for the second it was more about loading into a level that was already being invaded.
