...do you get still get both the Normal and Hard trophies for completion?

Yes the difficulty trophies are stackable.

Is the hard difficulty on Uncharted 2: Among Thieves as difficult as the hard difficulty on Uncharted: Drake's Fortune?

Nope, U2 is generally easier than UDF. Generally being the operative word as there are some really very annoying parts here and there still. It gets easier after your first playthrough though as you get used to which weapons you should keep at any given moment for the next area (learning when to keep a shotgun for those armoured shotgun grunts is useful heh).

That's great news, especially considering the fact that I have never managed to platinum Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. I see your point about the weapons. Grenades and the M-32 are also effective on the armored shotgun and chain-gun grunts, and the crossbow is extremely effective on the protectors of the Chintamarni Stone.

Just did it on hard and definately found it easier than the first game, hopefully this is true of crushing as i got stuck so much on that and still waiting to get round to clearing it for the platinium.

I agree, Uncharted 2 is a lot 'easier' than Uncharted 1, mainly because there are less of those annoying waves of enemies!

drakes fortune was a fun challenege on hard, im currently working through crushing for my plat, so if among thieves is that easy i should breeze through it?

I would say from my own experience, Among Thieves on Crushing is about the same as Drake's Fortune on Hard.

Obviously it's not easy, and there are a few tricky points, but it wasn't as hard, either that or I was just better at it! =p
