No, when I got it, we had 3 people, but I had 3 controllers, and they each had 2. You only need 7 total pads as splitscreen works for this, so if I have my 4, 3 more are needed.

Yep splitscreen definitely works for this trophy (for most of the others too), that's how I got it as well :)

sorry ally, you were a bit too late. I and another player helped Demon get this. i was certainly happy about that. i bought Omega Dawn over 2 years ago, and only just got Flying Fortress. (ps, sorry 'other player', i forgot your name, but i'm grateful for your help)
