I love it  ... ok it's just a trial and not the final product!! The menu looks similar to the psp version (icons)! I'm not a big 370Z fan but the tuned one handles very well on the short track!! As I can see on the leaderboard mister K-Yamauchi has his time online (tuned 1'37.601 stock 1'50.080) :D but that's a hard one to beat without steering wheel!! aaannndd still no full G25 ability :bigcry:
It's worth the download ;)
I thought the track looked very average. the car was sweet.
I also thought it was a pretty poor demo and dont think its going to win over new fans with that.
I know its a demo, but you would be forgiven for expecting a better organised demo after all this, despite the release of prologue.
1.52.958 so far, Rank 311 ( Stock )

Only had time for 3 or 4 laps and need to learn the circuit, but I got 1m43s flat with the tuned 370Z last night. I think there was a few corners where I was losing a good half a second, so I reckon I can dip under 1m40s, but the guys at the top of the leaderboard (1m36s) must be insanely good. I'll have to have a try with my wheel, see if that makes the difference.
Am i still the only one that was extremely dissapointed with the demo? I thought the track visuals was like a ps2 game, and the car was good, but not years of development good!?

I don't see it as Demo. It's more a time trial for those who'd like to get into the gt academy!

Well that game build is going to be a few months old for starters. Plus it's a 200mb download, there MUST be some compression or elements missing for that to be the case.
In any case I love it. I instantly felt the change in physics over Prologue - I've always loved Gran Turismo, but often the cars used to feel too 'heavy' and would constantly understeer, even in situations where you weren't pushing hard. Not the case any more though, and even from my quick go I could see that you'll be thoroughly rewarded for smooth braking and taking the correct driving line.
kjkg, were you playing it on a 1080p TV? It looks fantastic on mine - the odd bit of clipping, but I'm yet to find a speedy-motion type game which completely eliminates that.
1.51.232 ( Stock ) I'm ever so slowly nibbling at my time. I bloody love this thing
Just had quick go in the tuned car and got 1.39.971

Disappointed there's no damage on it. My times are awful so I'll try and improve before posting.

1 min 43 secs is my fastest in the tuned car (easier one). I'm awful at driving games and can barely keep the car on the track in the time trial. I've tried with manual gearbox and with traction off but can't get round the first bend without being on the grass!
Anyone care to give tips on how to improve my time?
I would really like to buy GT5 but unless I see some improvement in my driving I might have to leave it cause it'll frustrate the hell outta me!

Well I havnt really tried to get a solid time yet. but Im very impressed with the handling of teh vehicle, Think I may have to invest in a sterring wheel and pedals though (gta b sum official ones being released with the game?? any1 gt any news?)

Stock - 1.52.8
Tuned - 1.39.5
I really need to invest in a steering wheel and peddles to be able to use 50% power more when turning and slowly increase power when coming out of corners rather than on/off.
