Broken Paradise help - Crushing mode

Jeez, i'm pretty stuck on this level. Up to now, i've found crushing mode to be fairly straight forward. There were a couple of frustrating bits. But nothing to hard. I'm on Broken Paradise and the first encounter with the big mutant things with the crosbows. I remember struggling with these guys on hard. I've tried looking for a good spot to pick them off, but there isn't anywhere. And you can't stay in one spot for too long because they will just come running after you.

Any tips?

just focus on one of them and use his crossbow to take down the other, in the area that you start after you die I'm sometimes able to throw a grenade and it not jump out of the way (pure luck I know but try that as well).

just try and kill one and grab his crossbow 2 body shots should kill i know they did on hard?

you can kill the first with 2 grenades. Then as stated above us his crossbow on the second.

Thanks. I'll give it a try. I have completed it on hard already and i did use the crossbow on the second one. But killing the first is a bitch for me!

RUN! Just run and blind fire. Stay still and you'll be killed. When one is down, grab his Crossbow and shoot the other one and the one after that, they'll go down in a couple of shots.

Easiest way is to cheat:

change the difficulty to hard, enable 1 shot kills and infinite ammo, save and quit to the menu, change the difficulty back to crushing in the options and continue the game. - This works from chapter 3 onwards

I've read that you will still get your trophy that way, I am trying it on hard now after getting all the treasures and trophies and medals on my first 2 play throughs on normal.

Apparently so, going to try and get the platinum for that when I get it for Uncharted 2 don't think I gave Uncharted the attention it deserved.

Can someone confirm this spoiler trick? I wont mind doing it as the game would require 3 playthroughs for me for platinum and i wanna spend time on multiplayer too. Additionally i have tons of game that am loaded with, thus, would save me some time than tearing my hair apart on crushing at some points.

Because there are too many good games and I wanna play them otherwise they just sit on my shelf and gather dust. So many of the games I bought this year, suffered/are suffering the same fate. Also, I dont like to go to the next game until I platinum the current one...2 games at the most is what I play in parallel.

I have two solutions to this part of the game. They both start with you running to the otherside of the area where you can use the giant box as cover. (Make sure you have grabbed all the possible ammo and grenades before doing so)

1) Once you arrive on the other side jump behind the box and then take this oppurtunity to pick one of them off with grenades (preferably the one who is on the ground, as hopefully he should be distracted by Elena and Chloe, and you can then get his weapon). Then once you have done so, you should have enough ammo to take out the remaining enemies using the dropped crossbow ammo.

2) If the enemy who drops down happens to notice you, you will need to use the run and blindfire tactic. You will also need to roll occasionally once you are in front of the box as this tends to be the time that the second guy takes some shots at you. Once the first guy chasing you is finally dead. You will need to use the same tactic and use the dropped crossbow ammo to take out the remaining guys.


Also I wouldn't recommend using the spoiler cheat. Because if it doesn't work for you, you are not going to be very happy. Plus the game isn't that hard anyway.

the spoiler trick does work but it has been explained the wrong way !!

play on crusing save. quit! (your in main menu now) change difficulty to hard or lower. go to the store and activate the tweaks. go back to options and put it back to crushing. press continue and you see the tweaks are enabled.

that I cannot but for uncharted2 it does work

but using glitches is nothing to be proud of however ;) , I used it for the hard mode trophy to see if it works and it does but right now I'm playing on crushing the way it should be ;) . I think they'll patch this soon

Man just play the game on crushing...why you want to cheat?? And why be proud of glitches??

Among thieves on crushing is EASY...the boss fight is EASY...why look for glitches???

Do it normally so you can be proud of yourself that you did it...
