It only took (me) an afternoon and evening to play through Crushing, so 40k felt fine in my book. Besides, if you do Crushing you're probably close to getting platinum and by that time, you'll be able to afford almost everything in the singleplayer Store, which I guess is the whole point.

yea crushing seemed easier than Hard (which i started on) but its perhaps because i knew what to do, and always found i had some good weapons before i went into a mob room, to be fair, 40k isnt much but considering aint too bad, you have more than enough to buy singleplayer stuff, I just wish id saved it all so i could buy one of the outfits for online its like 1.5mil forget who it is now,

Don't forget having completed Uncharted 1 and loading the save is only $100k.

I played through on Crushing on a new save (after having completed in on Hard and Very Easyn {for a treasure collecting run} previously) and not only did I get the 40k for Crushing, but the cash for completing all the other difficultly levels.
I suppose if you're proficient at the game and want a way to make some quick cash to buy everything you could just run though Crushing again on a new save and earn about 100k in 5 or 6 hours.

Would you say that the Crushing difficulty is more difficult or less difficult in Uncharted 2: Among Thieves than in comparison with Uncharted: Drake's Fortune?
Also, have you got to unlock the Crushing difficulty level by completing the hard difficulty level, just like in Uncharted: Drake's Fortune?
I am only asking, as I won't be able to play Uncharted 2: Among Thieves until Christmas Day, as my dad has bought it for me for Christmas.

Question 1) Don't know sorry as I haven't played Crushing difficulty on either of the Uncharted games.
Question 2) Yes, you have to complete the game on Hard in order to unlock Crushing difficulty.

ATM I'm finding Crushing a lot easier than Hard. On your second play-through you should know roughly what to expect and where enemies spawn. Also I'm playing a lot slower. Stealth kills are great to use in avoiding gun fights which are extremely hard on Crushing.

Easier, as there are more checkpoints and fewer 'tunnel of death' areas (Jet Ski ride, Church Shoot out, etc).
Chrusing in both games isn't necessarily easier than Hard difficultly, but seems to be as you'll spend less time in each area. This is due to a combination of knowing what's coming and how to handle it thanks to a previous play through and the fact that you'll die at a lot faster when you do screw up, allowing you to retry sooner.
Although difficulty is all subjective anyway.
