View Full Version : Steel Fist Expert tip

I haven't done it yet but level 4 (the dig) seems to be the best bet (play on very easy). Shoot the guys in grey once and the guys in black 3 times before you punch them for a 1 hit kill. It seems some types of attack don't register though.

Anybody got any other tips?

I did this the other night and it works just fine. I didn't stop before hitting the people though and still got the trophy within a minute of trying.

yea ive been trying it here with no luck, from what ive read you need to shoot an press square just after so have to be close, last trophy i need.

No need to shoot them, just play Very Easy and a single punch on the weak enemies will take them out every time.

On Uncharted, there was a nice "square, R1, square" combo you could do that worked every time but its harder now they've revamped the hand-to-hand system.

doubt it, steel fist you need to "soften them up with gunfire" then punch 'em


On Uncharted, there was a nice "square, R1, square" combo you could do that worked every time but its harder now they've revamped the hand-to-hand system.

I'm finding hand to hand combat easier than the first.

did it on dig using the 45 pistol on very easy, just did r1 then square really quick while close , forget the black guards go for the grey, just restart checkpoint if you think you messed it, i got it when i didnt think i was, just do enough to maybe get it, if not restart.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: You do NOT need to fire a gun for this trophy if you do it on Very Easy. Just melee the guys ONCE and voila, dead.

Yup. Steel Fist Expert was the last trophy I got before platinum and I did it on The Dig on Very Easy, simply be meleeing the enemies once each and that's all.

It's no harder doing it the 'proper' way anyway. Load up 'The Dig' on Very Easy, only go for the grey-suited guys and leave the black-suited ones for Sully. Quick shot from the hip (R1) with the handgun as you get really close to someone then Square for the finisher. Retreat if you're losing too much health or to regroup and see where they are.

Take your time and you'll get it first or second attempt.
