Now, I know there have only been a total of 200 copies released of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves - Fortune Hunters Edition, but this is total gaming madness!

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves - Fortune Hunters Edition is some how selling for a current bid of $3,050 US dollars! However, what makes this even stranger to understand is that there is just over 9 days of the auction left; the seller has no previous feedback; and there have already been a total of 77 bids!

I believe that someone could potentially be seriously conned, as a golden rule of EBay that I have learnt is to never ever buy anything from anyone without checking their feedback rating prior to making a bid. If you can't find any feedback due to there being no feedback, then avoid purchasing anything from the sellers in question, no matter how cheap or expensive.

Check out the link to this gaming madness here (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230387764484)!

You know I wanted that package, it was a really badass collection, that knife was a real collectors item. But I wouldn't pay more than £100 for it, even at such a limited run it's not worth that.

I mean even as an investment it's not going to be worth that for decades.

Fair enough, but I didn't read it, and I went more into detail regarding the issue of the seller having 0 feedback, for-example.

thats idiotic. so what if he has no feedback maybe he's never had anything good to sell before. and by your logic no-one would ever sell anything coz at the beginning everyone has 0 feedback so no-one would buy anything so they wouldnt get feedback so they wouldnt be able to sell anything etc etc.

Damn ... I'm wondering whats the last price of this auction! Maybe the seller has a second account and is bidding too?!

Adding more detail doesnt necessitate a seperate thread. One can provide extra informattion they want to share in the respective thread. I assumed you hadnt seen the thread, thats why i was pointing it out.

It could be a fake auction, a seller with no history, 77 bids but only 6 bidders.

They've certainly attracted attention with over 26,000 views.

I guess that it is safe to say that no-one is interested in topping $3,050, as it is still the same price that it was a week ago!

Although, there are now 43,808 views!

I have never saw an auction this popular since Jose Mourinho through his second Premiership winners medal into the crowd, which shortly after went on EBay, and at one point was reaching huge bids such as £1,000,000+ from Chelsea supporters and football enthusiasts!

However, EBay removed the auction as they raised doubts over whether the bidders actually had the money. I just wonder if EBay will also block this auction, although there again, it has managed to stay on EBay for over a week!

bet the winning bidder was pissed if he did have the cash (altho highly unlikely)

$3050 is not a huge amount that Ebay will block. Ebay allows car sales which are much more pricey than that.

i wouldn't pay that much.
All you're getting is all stuff in the 45 quid collectors edition.
and a knife on a stand which is probs worth 25 quid.
i'd pay 80 for that.
it's not like you can use the knife to find the treasure of Marco Polo or anything.
Or can it do that?
if it can, i'd pay millions.

I can't believe Sony never put this into production, if one game deserved a fancy edition then it was this!

That is rather odd!

The auction has finished, and rather than having 77 bids and the highest being $3,050, it has 23 bids and has finished at $2,325! :S

Also, all of the bidders' identities have been protected.

Ya ebay does allow the seller to keep the buyers identities to remain protected. The final outcome of the bid is rather odd and one that i have never come across. Only reason is when a buyer is taken off bidding, then all his bids get nullified. Thus, the previous bidder becomes highest and number of bids get reduced too. I had done it to one of the buyers on an item i was selling and the result was similar -lower selling price and number of bids. Obviously not many people would spend that much money on a game, thus it never increased.
