As the game has just come out in America i know alot of you will probably be stuck in the same areas as i am. and when i say stuck i mean dying. alot.

so could all of you expericenced players help us noobs? i have looked at other guides and the one posted on here. ive also read the manual :P so dont surgest google!!

* can you save your souls any where? gathering 2000 odd souls and then dying and losing them when trying to get them back is not good or is it fun.

* whats a good starting weapon to upgrade or stat to concentrate on ? im a temple knight.

* the dragon on 1-2, is there a way to kill him or to get across the bridge without becoming fried bread? (purple shield and fire resistance doesnt help)

* ive tried to the soul glitch and i dont think it works? any one confirm this has been removed?

thanks for any help :D

Nope you can't store them. It adds challenge to the game.

You should use a multitude of weapons to deal with every situation. Pick either STR or DEX as your main melee stat. For me personally I placed about 28 points into both STR and DEX then I raised DEX to 35 so i could get more damage from my bow and other weapon that have DEX damage type S.

As soon as the dragon starts swooping down, run across the bridge to the watch towers. When you have a decent bow later on and have a few more soul levels you can take him down by shooting arrows from the first watch tower.

If the US version comes with all the patches that came out previously for the Asian version then the soul glitch will not work because you cannot de-patch the US version of the game like you could the Asian version. Besides the game is much more fun without it. It makes it far too easy.

While Nera answered everything perfect I will just add that losing 2000 souls is nothing to worry about buddy. Don't worry too much about farming for souls right now as later in the game you might just end up with more than you can realistically spend (yes it does sound like I'm talking in riddles but it's true).

And I would tend to favour dexterity more than strength as a certain bow is just so damn handy.
