Trophy list: shared betwee Asian/US version?

My PS3 is currently with Sony to have its YLOD surgically removed. While I've been given indications that I may indeed get my own machine back repaired (which is why it takes 2-4 weeks), there's a good chance I may get a refurb back instead.
If that's the case, I will have lost my Demon's Souls progress (the savegame is copy-protected so only usable on the PS3 it was created on).
Given that I've imported the US deluxe version as well, it makes sense to restart using that version - but I'd rather not have 2 trophy lists for DS on my profile.
So can anyone tell me whether the US version uses the same trophy list as the Asian release or whether it installs its own alongside it?

it does, but you cant play with our asian friends. or fight them. depends on your mood.

Oh good. Hadn't made many friends (or enemies) yet, mainly did singleplayer; just figured the US version had a) better localization, and b) more people online during my play time.

The US version has it's own trophy list so unless you get your original machine back you will have to restart the Asian version as well to complete it's trophy list.

I did notice when I compared my trophies with those of a friend, that the trophies of the Asian version won't appear together with other version.
