Brutal Legend Demo

The Brutal Legend demo is out on the US PSN Store for anyone that has an american account. Not sure about the UK store. The download is 1.6 gigs, so make sure you have some room!

I was disappointed with the demo, I didn't really like the gameplay.

A short review of the demo I played:

The Menu is just awesome, very original.

Now on with the game: I skipped all the cutscenes, because I want to let the game be fresh and new once I get it. In the first intro section, you get 2 prompts, if you want to bleep out all the swear words (Make sure you turn the filter off so you can hear jack shout FUUUCCKKKK right afterwards ) and if you want to disable gore. Anyways, after this. You get thrown into the metal world ( If you want to know how, spoil it by watching the cutscenes) and quickly need to find a weapon to rock the baddies asses! You pick up an axe, and kick ass. Not long after that you need to pick up a guitar, which serves as your magical weapon ( sort off). Later on you will learn about combos and meet a girl, which will help you with some teamattacks! ( Which seemed mediocre, maybe it was just her attack). Not long after that, you do a little rock show thingy and build yourself a kickass ride! You will plow down some baddies and get a little mini boss fight.

The demo is fun, Jack black s voice acting is hilarious and the jokes are funny. Not sure about the visual gags, but I guess they are there. The only bad thing about the demo is that its damn short and I dont know why its 1.6 gigs big....

Anyways, download it, and enjoy it. Im still mixed if I should either get this or Borderlands, but so far im leaning closer to this game!

I enjoyed the demo now I know I'll be getting the full game, just looked at the trophies shame about the multiplayer ones, guess I won't be seeing the plat for this then

I thought the demo was awesome albeit a little short, but it is a demo so I can't really complain that much. The gameplay was fun and simple, and I really liked the vehicle mission.

The demo has now confirmed to me that I'll be buying this on release day, can't wait now and it looks like October 16th is going to be a great day for me, with Uncharted 2 and Brutal Legend! :)

I had the code for the 1 week early demo of this and I absolutely love this game like I know I would and will definatly be buying this game the day it comes out along with Uncharted 2 : Among Thieves as they both come out on the same day.

Don't get the online trophies then. There's nothing that says you have to get them. Just enjoy the game for how it is, and forget about them. It's pretty stupid not buying a game that you want just because of some online trophies.

Thats exactly how I think, if I dont give a shit about the online, like resistance 2 for instance, I dont get them. Although the Brutal legend online looks kind off decent and the 50 multiplayer wins aint that bad either.

Same as the GTA 4 one I think. Just play online and you will probably get it eventually :) Or after a while you can probably ask a few people on the forums who have the trophy. Most of em are willing to help you, I hope :)

I loved the demo and cant wait to get this and Uncharted 2 on the 16th of Rocktober. It was really funny and made me want to carry on playing, I cant wait. On another note tuuttuut1 I find your Goofy picture very disturbing!
