Rumour has it that Gran Turismo 5 will be released later in Europe than Japan!

It was officially announced last week, that Gran Turismo 5 will be released in Japan in March 2010, despite originally being believed to hold a firm 2009 release.

However, this can only be classed as rumour until a SONY and/or Polyphony Digital representative officially speaks out about this rumour.

The rumour came about by the presenter of a French games blog called Game Blog TV!

It would surprise me as pervious titles came out in Japan first.

I rent my games from lovefilm and have gt 5 reserved. Up till yesterday they had an expected release date of the 5th december 2009. It changed yesterday to the 4th. I know its hoping for the best but do they know something we dont.

No they dont. Games are released on a Friday in the UK (with some exceptions). And the 4th December is a Friday. So they probably changed it realising games aren't released on a Saturday.

Hmm... I was flicking through the Argos xmas catalogue the other day, and they also have the release of GT5 as the 4th December 2009!!! I thought that the release date was March 2010 sometime... When did everyone else think it was?? And what are the chances of this being the release date???

wow i never saw it being delayed and then released later in europe. i bet the same might happen for ff13.

I'm sorry, Japan getting it before us is a surprise, why?

And since when did lovefilm and Argos become reliable authorities on release dates? The only news you should believe when it comes to GT5 is stuff from Sony and Polyphony.

play.com say march 2010, even still wikipedia say its out in japan march 2010, so expect it to be round summer next year.

FFXIII is out mid december 2009 and summer 2010 for rest of the world.

Yeh never trust argos. I KNOW bioshock 2 is out in 2010 feb. But in argos it says it was out in october 09.
The sad thing is i still like to dial in the code on those machines that tell you stock levels. Anyone else do that?

PS GT5 cant come soon enough!
