Not too long ago we got our foots-on with Pro Evolution Soccer 2009, and if you've read that, you're probably in need of some PES 09 yourself. So much so that the lack of digitized turf could turn otherwise normal citizens into the violent, angry, we're-going-to-tear-up-the-stadium type of football fanatics we see on the TV. Gallantly, Konami saves us from a riot by giving the football hooligans their prince's ransom. Expect a demo out this Thursday along with the weekly PS Store update in Europe

that reminds me i had a footie game on my 70's atari it had bad clunky game play (dont know why i remembered that;))

I am definatly going to be downloading this demo and buying the full-game when it comes out like I have every year since the first one.

FIFA 09 is going to be better but will fifa have trophies ?

no fifa wont have trophies but it will still be the better game (though pro will sell more for its trophies, good buisness sense by konami)

just played the demo. im not a fifa fanboy i like pes to. i was going to get them both but i played the pes demo and i have to say it seems to have lost its touch i think it fault really bad. fifa is better this year

I really liked the demo of Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 and I am definatly getting the full-game when it comes out like I have every year for the rest of the series.

same the graphics have improved as has the gameplay, the computer playing like a real person,tackling, its so good.

Downloading at the moment, taking bloody ages. Was gonna download BioShock demo after, but thats even bjgger so it can wait until tomorrow.

Can't wait to get stuck in! What teams can you play as? *crosses fingers for Liverpool* :D

Finally got it installed, and I'm mighty impressed. Tight controls, good AI, sweet graphics, fluid gameplay. The only downer is a couple of the players faces looked a bit strange, but most of them were spot on, particularly Rooney, Torres, Henry, Messi and Hleb. This demo has whet my appetite big time.

This is a definite release day purchase.

all i can comment on are the graphics as ive watched it being played only and they looked a bit like a cartoon. the grass looked better than last years and gerrads face looked realistic but the actual players running around looked super imposed onto the pitch. i dont like the hud either its made to look like a child drew it. overall though it looks better than pes 08 (if the online functions ) but by this demo fifa has officially taken over as the better game (again just my opinion nobody get your knickers in a twist i never called your mums anything derogatory, ive commented on a game)

i've played the demo today .. the game is nothing comparing to fifa 2009 ..

Just played demo, i like it in the sence that i can score easily and score good goals aswell. But overal the gameplay felt a bit er... clunky and the graphics were nothing compared to fifa. Still not sure which i'll be getting.

It's def better than last year's game. The legend option looks very interesting.

I don't reckon FIFA 09 will ever get trophies knowing EAs reputation but I have also heard rumours on a podcast now that Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 isn't getting trophies either.

I was very dissapointed with the demo comparing it with fifa 09 . .

With what i saw fifa 09 was far far far superior in many ways.
